Round Steak and Gravy I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
Very flavorful. I couldn't find stuffing for beef so I used stuffing for pork. The stuffing gave it just the right amount of savory taste.

My brother-in-law kept telling everyone how awful this spread was so he could have it all to himself.

Unbelievably Good Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I added a teaspoon of vanilla and 1 jar of marshmallow creme, sprinkled the top with cinnamon for garnish. Served with fresh Bosc pears and strawberries. YUM! Can't wait to try adding some peppermint and serving with chocolate and brownies.

Baked Tomatoes Oregano

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
I did not use fresh bread crumbs (lazy) and I think that affected the taste. Next time I will follow the recipe. Otherwise, this is a great side dish to basil pesto chicken pasta.

Texas Caviar I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
I added avocados and a little salt. My guests hovered over this. My goal was to impress my sister who is a fabulous cook. I'm not and it worked!

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
I made this recipe for 100 at a church banquet and everyone loved it. Every single plate came back empty. I used no-boil lasagna, sauteed the chicken with minced garlic and chopped fresh mushrooms, and added italian seasoning to the ricotta cheese. It freezes well, too. You will want to make this again and again.

Creamy Herbed Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
For a different flavor, substitute cream of celery soup instead of cream of mushroom. Serve over noodles. Yum!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
To save time, I used canned chicken. I doubled the recipe (all except for the green chilies) and my family thought it was too spicy. Not me - I loved it.

This was oh, so easy to prepare. I left out the sweet potatoes and used a mix of new potatoes and fingerlings.

Herb Roasted Pork Loin and Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
My husband said this was the best meal he has had in a very long time. I don't have a roasting rack so I used carrots to raise the meat off the bottom of the pan.
