Classic Turkey and Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2014
Seemed like a lot of work and the end result was mediocre with not much flavor. Really wanted to like it, but it was just kind of blah.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2012
This soup is really good and easy to throw together. I just made some minor changes from reading other reviews. I used chicken broth to cook the veggies in and added carrots. The soup comes out thick and creamy and makes for a great meal on a cold day! I had to laugh that more than one person thought it was "a lot of chopping". Not sure how else you make soup without chopping veggies! Thanks for sharing your yummy recipe.

Perfect Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
We thought this was delicious. Only change I made was to use beef broth rather than water. Meat comes out so tender and tasty! Thanks for the great recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This is very easy, but so tasty. Next time I will add the potato others did, did not have one when I made it. Really good flavor, made it just how the recipe is written. Thanks, Robbie!

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
I had my doubts, but this was by far the best pulled pork we have ever made! I had to do one substitution...there was no shoulder or butt roast when I went to the store! The butcher suggest "rib ends". I was skeptical, but used them and the whole thing was awesome. Don't know how you could improve it. Thanks, Sarge...a delicious, simple recipe enjoyed by all that watched the Packers beat the Bears!

Tangy Cucumber and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
This salad was awesome, and so quick to throw together. I did not have cilantro, and am not a big fan, so I left it out. I also only had red onion, so used that instead of green onions. It is crunchy and so fresh tasting. It was just the thing to go with the Chipolte Turkey burgers from this site. I know I will make this often. Thanks for sharing.

These are really tasty. I also put the egg in and put them in the freezer a bit before grilling. They were excellent!

Veggies on the Grill

This was really easy and tasted great. I only had asparagus, but basted them with this and they turned out wonderful. Can't wait to try this on all different vegetables! Thanks for the great recipe.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
I loved this soup and will make again! I had beef broth rather than vegetable broth and I threw in a can of Rotel tomatoes for a little spice. It is really a hearty meal on a cold day, and so easy to throw it all in the crock pot. Thanks for the great recipe!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
I don't know if it was my ham or I did something wrong, but this did not come out good at all. I altered the recipe to some of the other suggestions, but we were not impressed and my ham was dry. Sounded like it would be delicious, sorry it wasn't for us.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This was really quick and easy and tasted so good. I pounded the chicken as others suggested and added some garlic powder to the crumb mixture. I also first dipped in flour, then egg, then crumbs. The chicken is crunchy on the outside, and so juicy inside. I made as a quick family meal, but would serve this to company. Thanks for the great recipe, will definitely make again!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
I really liked this! When I was making it I wasn't expecting to like it so well. The sauce is great. We had it over rice, and I would definitely serve the little meatballs and sauce as an appetizer. Thanks for the great recipe!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
This was really quick to throw together. I am always looking for recipes with few ingredients that are fast to make. Granted it needs to cook in the slow cooker awhile, but a snap to get going. I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce because that is what we like. With about an hour left I shredded the chicken as suggested by other people and put it back in the sauce. Turned out great! I will try this with pork too. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe.

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
I made this just as it was with the exception of cooking it a little longer. We thought it was very good. A quick, tasty meal. Served with mashed potatoes as suggested. Wouldn't change a thing except the cooking time. Thanks for the great recipe that didn't involve cans of soup!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I guess I should have read some reviews before making this frosting. The picture looks so pretty, that I just followed the directions. Mine was thick and hard to spread, next time I will add the extra milk and see if that helps. It did dry shiny, but my cookies looked nothing like the picture. I had such a little amount of frosting I do not know how you would divide into bowls and color them. I went wrong somewhere and just did not have the time to re-try. Maybe for Valentine's Day.

Drop Biscuits and Gravy

This is a really good, inexpensive, easy recipe. Most of the time I buy biscuits and just make the sausage gravy...even easier! I always double, since we like it so much. Thanks for sharing the great recipe!

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
These cookies are AWESOME. I made them for work and everyone loved them and several people requested the recipe. I did make some minor changes. I added some nutmeg and ground cloves and also added vanilla to the cookie. The recipe made about 5-6 dozen, so I don't know if I made them smaller than I was suppose to or what happened. I also had to bake them 13 minutes for them to be done. I did not notice the cookies should be frosted warm, so mine were not. I did use the tip from other reviewers to turn them upside down and dip them in frosting. This worked well for me. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, it is a keeper!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
These were excellent...every rib was gone. The sauce was wonderful as we like it spicy rather than sweet. This is my new rib recipe, thanks for sharing.
