About this Cook
I enjoy healthy eating and sometimes healthy cooking. I am a psychologist and enjoy body sculpting and lampworking. I have the best 10 year old girl in the world.
My favorite things to cook
Decadent desserts or for myself, tofu and low fat dishes. I eat meat rarely, so I get pretty creative with the veggies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian cookies at Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Making my kid happy with healthy meals. Ocasionally she eats vegetables.
My cooking tragedies
Once I attempted an Asian noodle that tasted more like peanut butter and noodles...yech!

Spring Biscotti
Excellent recipe. Very versitile. I use it in many ways, with anise seed and extract, or just almonds and almond extract.

Mall Pretzels
Really good. The best part was how simple they were. Don't be tempted to change the recipe. The butter brushing with salt works fine. No need for an egg wash or anything. I used raw sugar instead of salt on half for my daughter and she loved it. Husband ate three out of the oven. No reason NOT to make these.
