Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Wow this was really good. I almost didn't make it because of the creasent rolls but I am so glad I did. It was super easy. Followed the recipe exactly. Like someone else said besure to use real butter. And when it came out of the oven I drizzeled honey ALL OVER it. That is how I like my Sopapillas...but if your a chocolate fan you could drizzle that too. The whole pan got ate up and everyone loved it. Thanks!!!!

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
It is so hard for me to give a negative review...but this soup didn't do it for us. It actually made us fill ill after eating it. I will say I followed the reviews and added extra vinager so maybe we would have liked it if we would have followed the recipe. The tastes did remind me of cabbage rolls (which I like) but it was lacking the heartiness of cabbage rolls. If I ever make it again I will use less vinegar and add rice to try to balance it out.

Super Duper Italian Nachos

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Really good. I baked them for about 10 minutes instead of microwaving. You can use any variety of toppings you like. I did the cheese, alfreado sause, sun dried tomatoes, olives, sausage, diced tomatoes and red onion. Great!

Bob's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Wow! These were great. I was a little nervouse because I never have used clams before but they were not fishy at all. No one knew they had clams in them! I do think the clams give it a great texture and flavor that mixes with all the other stuff. Great. Easy. Don't change a thing!

Creamy Sausage Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This was so good and too easy! I made it earlier in the day and refridgerated it until I was ready to bake it. Still only needed 30 minutes in the oven. I served it with bread and tortilla chips. Awesome!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
It was okay. I do like using the ritz crakers instead of just breadcrumbs but I wasn't crazy about the cheese in the meat and for my family the dry onion soup mix made it too salty. We love meatloaf but this one just wasn't our fav.

Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
Really good! Nice and moist. I love how the heat of the sausage and sweetness of the apple work together. I added a little more celery and onion than called for after reading the reviews and I think that made it really good. I like the textures that the onions, celery, apples, and water chestnuts give it. Great!!!! I doubled the recipe and it all got ate!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This was really easy to make. I used a container of grape tomatoes that I seeded and diced. I let them drain and added them to the dip right before serving it and I think that worked really well. I sprinkled some of the tomatoes on the top to make it look pretty and if I make it again I will add some sliced green onions for more color and another flavor. But it was seriously awesome just the way it was! I served it with wheat thins and fritos. Just like a BLT!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
Awesome soup! I am glad I didn't cut down on the potatoes like some reviews said because I think that is what gives the broth a thicker texture. Next time I might even add an extra potato. When I bought the sausage my market only had it in 1 1/2 lbs and I ended up using all of it because I was so hungry and it wasn't too much for the soup to handle. I can't wait to eat the leftovers!

Spaghetti Salad III

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This is a great recipe. For the bottle of Italian Seasoning I use McCormick Salad Supreme. It is so good when you use this! I don't do the cheese in it but use extra veggies. I'm a big fan of using cherry tomatoes (the whole crate!), and red onion! I'm hungry now!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
Really good! I don't measure for stuff like this so I probably added more potatoes and celery so I added a little more stock (used that instead of water) and an extra talbespoon of butter and flour. But that just shows you can adapt this to fit your needs. It was awesome. I did sprinkle green onions and cheddar cheese on top. AWESOME!

Mini Meatloaves

I wasn't crazy about the glaze on top...a little too sweet for my taste. Other than that it was great and easy to make.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This one wasn't a favorite. I followed the directions exactly...just wasn't the best. Maybe it was the salsa I used because for the most part that is all I could taste...it tasted like salsa soup. Not bad just not great.

OMG...this was so good! I can't wait to make it again. I did up the curry to 3-4 teaspoons and doubled the recipe. I think the cream is what brings it all together. Awesome!!!!!!!!

Sausage Sauerkraut Supper

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
It was good...but my sausage got almost too moist. I think I cooked it too long! Next time I will only do it for 4 hours and maybe put the sausage in last browning it first in the skillet. It was good and made the house smell great after a long day at work.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I made these for the first time around Thanksgiving and have made them for parties ever since then. They are soooo good! I do make them atleast 5 hours before I cook them so they can get good and juicy and I use a ton of brown sugar...I smear it real good into the bacon and roll the smokies in it too. Awesome!
