My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was little, my mom used to give us the scraps of dough after making apple pies, and we would put cinnamon and sugar and raisins on them and bake them. They weren't that good, but it was fun!
My cooking triumphs
I'm learning how to grill! I've actually figured out how to make my burgers just right so they dont split on the grill, and all the ooey gooey cheese stays inside until you take a bite!
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make a pie one day, I was particularly stressed out, and my crust just wouldn't cooperate, I rolled and rerolled it out, but to no avail! The darned thing kept tearing on me! In my frustration I threw the dough across the room leaving a big mess on the wall and floor. 2 months later I found bits of dough on top of the refridgerator!

Easy Cheese Ball II
I've made this quite a few times over the past two years, my brother has made me promise I'll make it for him every Christmas he loved it so much! I changed it up a little the last time I made it, I used Hidden Valley Ranch Fiesta Ranch mix instead of the regular ranch. It made is so zippy! Also, I put about half the amount of cheddar cheese in mine, and I use cheddar jack instead of just plain cheddar. Always a big hit!!!

My Grandma's Cool Cucumber Salad
I've made this recipe (sort of) since I was a kid! We didnt dry the cukes though, sliced em, salted em, tossed the onions in and let it marinate for a few hours in the fridge. Drain and rinse em then stir in Miracle Whip and a few tablespoons of pickle juice (or vinegar I guess). They end up creamy and tangy!! If you slice them really thin they get mushy, I like mine thicker so they've got a good bite to em!

Chicken Delight
This smelled heavenly, it made my mouth water the whole time it was cooking...but when I took a bite, I was sorely disappointed. It was very bland.
