Cheez-It® Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2002
My husband who "claims" he is not picky, LOVED IT! My two youngs boys loved it as well. It is very yummy! : ) Also I used sunshine Mild Chedder saltine crackers instead of cheezits. It was what I had but now I know it works and it is less expensive than the other.

Restaurant-Style Potato Skins

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2002
MY kids really loved them. My husband and I thought they were a little greasy and a tad flat. They could use some spucing up. Salt or lemon juice. Just a little kick. Otherwise they were good.

Alice Chicken

This was not a "bad" recipe. I also would not classify it as great. IF I make it again, I will substitue the worcestershire with italian dressing. I would marinate all night with it too. We all ate it though. So with my family that IS a step ahead!

Cashew Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2002
Ok I read all the reviews. So I was prepared to "Carrie-fy" the recipe! I only used about 2 tbs of oil, 3/4 c of broth, bean sprouts instead of bamboo shoots(yuck), and I totally omitted the water cornstarch mix. (I did that cuz who needed it with the cut down liquid?) I also used some crushed garlic with the oil and I used garlic pepper and garlic salt instead of plain salt and pepper. We all ate it we all liked it. I will make it again. Thanks for posting it!!

Apricot Chicken III

I am an onion fan but this was pretty overpowering. I also was disapointed that it wasn't sweeter. I may make it again but I will definatly cut down on the onion soup mix.

Cheesy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2002
I really enjoyed this recipe. I like others altered this or that. I reduced the amount of liquid as suggested. Mine was still not creamy. I think I didnt let it cook long enough when I added the cornstarch. Still was an excellent dinner. I may make it with home made chicken gravy as a sauce next time. In whatever form I will use this recipe again. The cheese was definatly a brilliant touch. I love cheese.

Cream Corn Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 22, 2002
I read the reviews first. so I played with the recipe a little. Added some spices that I like. The pork cooked a little unevenly. And the creammed corn was so runny looking that my hubby wouldnt touch any of it. I myself only ate the pork. On to my point, the pork was very very tender and juicy. I say it is a great way to make pork because so often pork gets really dry. Nexty time I make it I will cook in the corn and then throw the corn away before my hubby sees it. It really did look like a gloppy mess. I know he will like the tender pork the corn yields though.

Cheesy Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 22, 2002
I thought I would love this. Afterall my fave ingrediant cheese was involved! : ) If I cook this again I will leave out the soup mix. Way way way too oniony. I am someone who loves onions too! I would use real onions instead. Also would use one of the meats not both.
