Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
great start...save the ham juice for gravy and add to the soup at the very end...all of it...excellent! (make sure to MAKE the gravy...it will thicken the soup too.)

Cindy's Awesome Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
OMG!!!!!! Mmmm Mmmmm good has NOTHING on this! I followed the rec. but added 1 more can of clams and used celery and onion instead of the carrot. I can't get my husband off of me now. Thanks alot! Really though this is wonderful! About an hour of work total and well worth it. Make sure you use the leek soup mix and not the veg. you won't get these great results if you don't. What other goodies you got up your sleve cindy?!! Thanks!!!!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
I gave these 4 stars only because they are okay the first day. The second day they are amazing!! All the flavors mix togther when they sit for a day. I also found, that an old hand held potato masher works awsome for mixing it all together, that way your arm doesn't fall off from trying to mix it. Super good and GREAT for kids!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
This is a great recipe. Those using RANCH are following a totally different rec. The only thing I do different after all the years I've been making this is I only use a little more than a 1/2 cup of mayo, I find the spinach flavor comes out more. And I don't care for water chesnuts.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
SUPER salty! I didn't even use the whole pkg. of ranch and it was super over powering. I did add onions and bacon. Next time I won't even use 1/2 a pack of ranch and I'm sure it will be much better. But worth a 2nd try with alterations!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
alrighty, first things first, just used the filling rec.. Choc. might have been more suitable but any box cake mix will work... Great recipe... 1St tip WAIT till they cool COMPLETELY before adding filling. If you don't you'll make the mistake like I did and the cupcake will SOAK up your filling. I LOADED my cupcakes with filling, but the naxt day when you took a bite there was BARLEY any filling there. LET COOL and LOAD IT UP! Second, If your frosting, pipe right through the top and just frost over.. I didn't have a piping bag so... I took a plastic straw and cut it about 1 inch long, Took a large freezer bag and poked the straw through the corner, kinda loose so at the bag tip I scotched taped it tight, add frosting and squeeze. Worked PERFECT. Easy to work with different options with this recipe.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
This was a wonderful recipe. Easy, ingredients on hand, and the moistest chocolate cake ever! I used the vanilla glaze recipe from this site and drizzled it over the cake (which I made in a bundt pan and baked for 1 hour at same temp listed) and it was the best. Have alot of choc.zcake recipes and this one is by far the tops!!!!

Chocolate Chip Mini-Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
These were just o.k. for us. It tasted like regular cornbread with chocolate chips. Pretty bland and not really worth my ingredients that are like gold now that groceries are so high. Won't be making these again.

Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
These were REALLY REALLY good!! I followed the recipe to a "T" but I didn't have choc. chips so I used semi sweet baking choc. and just made chunks. I only baked about 10-12 min and let them cool on the cookie sheet for about 2 min. turned out perfect. If you really are going for that peppermint taste you might add just a pinch more extract. Great cookie, a true keeper!

Pumpkin Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
REALLY REALLY GOOD. I halved the recipe so it fit into 1 9x13 pan. Also added 1/2 teas. ground cloves. I didn't have any frosting on hand and I was worried about the "Bland" factor I've read, so I added 1/2 choc. chips to the batter and melted 1/2 cup on top. Check at 20 min so not over done. Super good!

Raspberry Cream Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Very good, although I thought it used just way to much preserves. I used rasberry like the recipe and it was really overpowering. I could barely taste anything else and it was REALLY sweet. Next time I'll only use about 1/2 the jar maybe a tiny bit more.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
O.K., These turned out amazingly good even though I'm an idiot and think that little elves must stock my cupboards with sugar, flour ect. First off: 3/4 cup sugar (ran out) and 1 1/4 cup brn sugar. Completly out of cinn. so I had to use like 1/2 teas cloves. Everything else I actually DID have and even with these mistakes they still turned out awsome! Net time I'll have the stuff to actually make them RIGHT and I bet there even better.

These were awsome!! I am now the "Queen" of breakfast in my family. I made this at a family reunion at our cabin (felt like I was cooking for a cafeteria) and everyone just loved them. People are always asking for this recipe. Good job!

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
The classic recipe has 2 exceptions- #1. A 20 oz. can of pineapple and #2. 1 cup of sour cream. My grandma used her mom's recipe and this tastes close but just not the same.

Frosted Cake Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
Oh the heavens thank you! These were fabulous!! I didn't have any chocolate frostiong so I took about 3/4 cup of the choc. chips and melted them on top about the last two min -let cool- and oh my!! One thing my WHOLE family does is brownies and believe me they were impressed. Thank you so much. Would really like to try marshmellows and nuts for the rocky road effect these would be the perfect base for that too.
