Scrambled Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
Very easy and good! I added a little mayonnaise as a previous reviewer suggested and they turned out great. These are perfect for freezing and then eating for breakfast or lunch when going low carb.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
I thought all apple pies were the same; I was wrong. This one is truly different and the BEST I've ever had. My family devoured it. I feel lucky to have found it because I know it'll be a family tradition in my household for years to come. I didn't make a lattice because I don't feel comfortable doing that yet, so I just mixed the apples with the sugar mixture before pouring it into the crust, then topped with the remaining crust and cut slits like a usual pie. It was fantastic.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
Makes a TON of really great carmel corn!! The only tip I would add is to use plain popcorn. I used movie theater butter popcorn because it's what I had in the pantry and I think that affected the taste a little. It was still really good, but it would be even better with plain popcorn as its base. Great recipe!!

Braided Egg Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
This is an awesome bread!! It has such a light, sweet flavor. This was only my 2nd time trying to make a yeast bread and it turned out fine. I made two braided loaves and they were huge! I can't imagine how big it would be if you only made one loaf. The two loaves did not fit in the oven at the same time, so I put one in the fridge while the other was baking. I didn't know if that would harm the bread or not but it didn't. It turned out just like the other loaf that didn't go in the fridge beforehand. This is a fantastic recipe! This is a great starter recipe for yeast breads. I now have the confidence to try making other kinds of bread.

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
These were awesome!! This recipe has it all - great taste, easy preparation and beautiful presentation. Even my picky husband liked this. I loved how all the flavors tasted together. I was bit worried that it would be too "eggy" but it wasn't at all. I would love to try them in mini muffin tins next time for a brunch or something.

Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
This makes an awesome pie! I made this for a summer barbeque and it was so perfect. Everyone devouered it, there was none left. I used a collander as others suggested when adding the lemon juice and let it drain out, great idea. I would go easy on the lemon juice because I could taste it (but I don't think anyone else did). The filling overall is to die for. Perfectly sweet and not runny at all. I don't know if I'll make peach cobler again - this peach pie is too good!

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
This was so awesome!! I've never made Tiramisu before and was a little nervous, but it turned out to be fantastic! The one thing I added was vanilla extract to the cream. Other than that, I followed it to the letter. If you're thinking about making this, don't think anymore - just do it! It's fabulous. It's virtually impossible to mess up. I just had it with my husband this time, but I would definitely feel comfortable serving it to company, too. A keeper!

Easy-Bake Risotto

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
This was very good - I didn't think it was bland at all. To me, it was like a fancy, good version of ham and rice. I don't know if I would call it a Risotto. I actually did not do the "baking" part. After I added the broth and water, I simply put a lid on it, brought it to a boil, and then simmered for 25 on the stovetop. It was perfect! No need to bake at all. After simmering, I continued with the recipe as usual. The parm cheese is a perfect addition! Great for leftover ham. I loved it!

I followed the recipe to the letter except I used fresh vegetables. It turned out delicious!! Perfect consistency and wonderful taste! The orange adds a twist. I'm adding this to my regular rotation of dinners.

I was skeptical of this recipe at first, but I tried it and was pleasantly surprised! I halved everything because I was only cooking for two people and it was great!! Very delicious! I will be making this again!
