Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Wow! This was WONDERFUL! Last time I went to Olive Garden I had Parmesan Tilapia, and this recipe was 10 times better than theirs. Like another reviewer suggested, I added bread crumbs and doubled the amount of pepper. I also seasoned each side of the fillets with Old Bay. I served alongside garlic mashed new potatoes and steamed green beans. A fabulous dinner...with out a doubt I will definitely make this again soon!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are the best! I took the advice of another reviewer and used french vanilla instant pudding mix. Very tasty. The only thing I added to the ingredients was a pinch of salt. I didn't have any brown sugar on hand so I substituted with white sugar and molasses. I cut the recipe down to 18 servings, thinking I would get 3 dozen cookies, but it turned out to be only 2 dozen. Next time I have a big event I will definitely make the full recipe. Thank you so much for these delicious little cookies!

Baked Spaghetti I

This wasn't very good to me. A lot of the ingredients are what I've been using for regular spaghetti for years, so I thought I would try it. For the longest I stood in the kitchen debating on whether or not to use the cream of mushroom soup. I decided what the heck and try it out. It was not very good. Also this recipe did not have very much flavor at all. Don't think I will try this again.

Chicken and Bow Tie Pasta

This was very tasty. The only thing I did differently is that I used onion instead of red bell pepper (just didnt have it). I for sure will be making this again, but I will be halving the amount of cream cheese. I felt the sauce was too rich. Oh, and wow this recipe made A LOT of food. It was still good the next day warmed over.

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

I'm giving 4 stars because I did have to change a few things. First of all, I had to cut the recipe down to only 2 servings (just for me and hubby). I let the ground turkey and onions cook for about 15 minutes to make sure the onions were completely cooked through. I then added some garlic powder to the skillet along with the chicken bouillon. I also added about 1 to 2 tsp of chili powder, I just felt like the meat mixture needed a little something extra. I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup, so I added cream of chicken. Instead of using water I used some low sodium chicken broth. I let all of the above simmer for about 30-40 minutes. I always enjoy foods that have been cooked longer for some reason. My husband and I really liked this recipe with my modifications. I served the meat mixture over cooked wide egg noodles. I think next time I will have to incorporate some mushrooms into the meat mixture. All in all, this is a keeper and I will definitely make again soon! Thanks from one lazy girl to another!!!

Crab Cakes II

I'm sorry but I just really did not enjoy these crab cakes very much at all. I used fresh crab meat that had been packaged at my grocery store so it had the consistency of tunafish. I thought this would work out well since several members commented on the patties not wanting to stay together. I also added the Old Bay seasoning like others suggested. I didnt have any problems with the patties not staying together, but I just didn't like the taste of these at all. I want a recipe that has some sort of stuffing inside. These tasted kind of bland and I think with the stuffing you get a variety of flavors (not just all crab meat).

Enchiladas

I liked these enchiladas pretty well. My bf said they were "alright and okay" Like another reviewer suggested, I made the 10-min. enchilada sauce from this site. The sauce was really good. For this recipe I also added more spices to the ground meat and also a can of mild green chiles. I think the chiles really added a nice taste to the enchiladas. I most likely will make this one again.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I loved these! I made them for my sweetie on Valentines Day and we both really enjoyed them. I followed the recipe exactly (with the 2 tbsp shortening). I didn't have any problems with clumps or lumps. I heated the chocolate and shortening over medium heat and then when it was all melted I turned it down to warm/low while I dipped the strawberries. I think this might have prevented any lumps to form because the chocolate never got a chance to cool. Will definitely make these again and i'm looking forward to trying it with other fruit.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

I really like this recipe. I've made it twice. I didn't have any cooking sherry so I used about 1/4 cup of dry red wine. I also added a 4 oz. can of sliced mushrooms and I used about 1 1/2 cups of beef broth (to make more gravy). I served this with mashed potatoes and green beans. This gravy is excellent over the potatoes.

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

I really enjoyed this chicken. However, I did make a few adjustments. First of all I didn't use any butter to make it healthier. I used 1/2 cup of e-virgin olive oil instead. I added about 1/8 cup of balsamic to the oil mixture along with 1 tsp of onion powder. I George Forman'd the chicken for about 5 minutes turning once. It was excellent. My boyfriend ate 2 big peices of this chicken. I served alongside freshly steamed green beans. Will definitely make this one again!!!! Oh and next time I will let it marinate for about 24 hours.

this dish turned out really well. even my husband who can be picky enjoyed this meal. i used a dirty rice mix for the rice and a mexican blend of cheeses instead of asiago. well definitely make this again, however i think i will cut down on the amount of tomatoes. 5 stars..delish!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

My husband and I really enjoyed this dish. I used chicken tenders instead of breast fillets and it took only 20 mins to cook instead of 30. I also added just a little bit more parsley than the recipe called for. The cheese "crust" on top was extra delicious. Will be sure to make this one again!

Linda's Lasagna

This lasagna turned out pretty well. I used no boil lasagna noodles to cut down on preparation time. I also used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. Next time I don't think I will let the sauce simmer for a whole hour (maybe only 30 mins) because it seemed like it got a little too thick. But, I was satisfied, and think I will try this one again! (Be prepared for lots of dirty dishes!)

Baked Macaroni and Cheese III

I have to say I was disappointed in this recipe. I don't know if it was something that I did to make it turn out wrong or what. I halfed the recipe (since its just me and my husband)and it seemed to taste like scrambled eggs and cheese with noodles.

Lizzy's Creamy Chicken Bake

I made this dish using chicken tenders to cut down on the amount of cooking time. I took the suggestion of other users and only used 8 oz of sour cream, however I did use a full package of lipton onion soup mix and it turned out to be a little bit too salty. I'm sure I will make this again, but will try to cut down on the soup mix. Also, I lined the baking dish with foil before placing it in the oven and this proved a very easy clean up.
