Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I've been making these for a couple of years, and my husband has already claimed them to be the best. I took them to Christmas this year and my mother in law said it was the best chocolate chip cookie she ever had, and my sister in law said they were "perfect". The only thing I change is I half the recipe. I don't mess with the flavor of the pudding either - they just don't turn out as well.

Easy Spicy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
Oh how brilliant is this? I actually barely followed the recipe at all, but I'm giving it all the credit for telling me to mix tomatoes with chilies and chicken soup and to pour it over chicken. I added lots of stuff, the best of which was a can of corn. I also added garlic, oragano, low fat sour cream and low fat cottage cheese. I just cooked the chicken in a frying pan, mixed all the saucy stuff in a bowl and poured it in the pan over the cooked chicken. It was so totally awesome. I served it over rice, but I'm going to do it with roasted potatoes next.

Peanut Treats

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2006
Mmmmmm.. To start off with I halved the recipe. Other than that and putting it in an 8x8 inch baking pan I didnt change anything. It was hard to get out of the pan. Here are the changes I'm going to make next time. Although I get why the peanuts are supposed to be on the top and bottom (inspired by the candy bar)It was too peanuty, taking away from that awesome chewy, fudgey center. So Im going to reduce the amount of nuts, not lining the pan with then, and instead chop some up and mix them in with the melty mixture. Then I'll line my baking pan with parchment paper. I'm still going to top the mixture with peanuts, though. This is just my preference, and reallyI still think this recipe is awesome and will definitely make again.

Real Poutine

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
I love poutine.. being Canadian, and having grown up with it and all. If you're in Canada you can get canned and packaged "poutine gravy". It tastes different than beef gravy and actually makes it "real" poutine. And cubed cheddar cheese is great and all, but you really do need to use cheese curds.

Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2006
I'm giving this a 5 because my husband said "This is F*****G amazing" THREE times. But I changed a bunch. I used 4 eggs. I used 1 and 1/4 cup of half and half. I used some cheese blend. I know it had sharp cheddar and a couple other things. I put in about a cup of sliced mushrooms, about a 1/4 cup of chopped green onions, and I used less than half of an onion. I put in some nutmeg. I used cubed ham instead of bacon. I used a frozen pie crust, and I baked it at 375 for.. Hmmmm 55 minutes? It spilled EVERYWHERE. luckily I had it on a cookie sheet. Yeah, I changed too much. It's getting a 4.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2006
This is AWESOME. I did the 1 and 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 3/4 cup of white sugar thing and used pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon. I put in almost a full bag of Heath bar bits, but I dont think it needed it. I may do chocolate chips next time. It tastes like the crumble on top of apple crisp, which as we all know is totally rad. I baked almost all of it, but saved the rest of the dough to eat raw because MAN this tastes good. That's all that needs to be said!
