A Very Popular BBQ Sauce

Yummy! I cut the recipe in half and didn't have any paprika, but it is wonderful without it. I can't imagine how good it will be with it. I didn't add any salt, either, since we're on a salt-restrictive diet.

Country Apple Dumplings

Yummy! I halved the recipe, just so we could try them and boy am i regretting that now! Being diabetic, I used Splenda instead of sugar.The only other changes was adding a splash of vanilla. We will definitely be making this again!

Cheater Pot Pie

Yummy! Only had one can of cream of chicken, so we replaced one with a can of cream of mushroom. Liked it so much, we'll keep it that way. Used pre-cooked chicken strips and threw in just a bit of garlic powder and some extra canned corn, to suit our taste. We will definitely be eating this one again!

Black Bean and Chickpea Hummus

Ok, I'll admit this was fabulous, but I made a lot of changes, based on what I had in the pantry. I used a large can of black beans no garbanzo beans and substituted sour cream for the yogurt. Then, I only used a sprinkle of curry powder and added some cumin. After sitting in the fridge all night, the flavors had blended together beautifully. Yes, it's a funny color but with some pita chips it was yummy. Definitely a keeper!

My Country Style Steak

Yummy! The only thing I did different was to slice an onion into the skillet before I started to simmer and add a little milk and cornstarch to the gravy after about 30 minutes. The non-meat eating daughter loved it. We had it with roasted veggies and yukon gold mashed potatoes! This is definitely a keeper!

Busy Night Turkey Taco Soup with Avocado Cream

Very good soup but I did make some changes to give it more flavor and to use what I had and it turned out great. I boiled some chicken breast strips and shredded them. I then made the soup adding a pack of taco seasoning. At the end, I added a splash of milk to thicken it. I served it with shredded cheese and some crumbled tortilla chips. YUMMY! Even the picky kids ate seconds and complimented me on it. Quick and easy!

Lemony Garlic Shrimp with Pasta

Great recipe but I will use less lemon juice next time. The kids loved it but commented that it needed less lemon. We'll definitely be making this one again.
