Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
These Sloppy Joes are very good and the recipe is quite easy. I did add a few good shots of BBQ sauce to liven it up a bit but really this is quick, simple and delicious!

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I know that a lot of people have liked this recipe which lends me to believe that perhaps I did something wrong (although I did stick to the recipe). But my Fiance and I found these egg rolls to be bland, mushy and all around not to our taste.

Spring Roll Wrappers

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I hate to say it, but these were terrible. When they were done they tasted like a deep fried pancake. Not very crunchy on the inside (and we rolled them thin!) Very bland, soggy, not very good at all.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
Well, I have to admit that I don't like stuffing so to be honost. I didn't even try it! However, my Fiance who is a stuffing fanatic boasted this to be the best that she's ever had. On my end, it was simple to make, not overly expensive and it lended some fantastic aromas to the cooking turkey. Bravo!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
Bravo is all I can say! This Turkey turned out amazing! Very tender, flavorful and all around delicious. One comment however and yes, it's quite trivial but nevertheless, because of the chicken stock this doesn't smell like your traditional "Turkey in the oven". I did find it gave off an odd chicken-esk type fragrance. As I said, trivial point but to some the smell of Turkey in the oven is crucial to the day!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
Where do I begin!? Pumpkin + Cheesecake . . . how can you really go wrong? Like most I doubled the seasonings and I also used fresh pumpkin filling (pick up a small cooking pumpkin. Cut it in half and scoop out all of the stringy bits and seeds. Lay it face down on a baking pan and cover with tinfoil. Put in the oven at about 200c for an hour and half. Pull it out, allow it to cool, scoop the filling and you're on your way!) Great recipe!

Shiitake Angel Hair Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Very nice recipe. It was quick, easy and very very tasty. I did however double the sauce as I wanted a little thicker coating as opposed to a light flavor. Well done.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
One of my favourite pizza sauces to make when I feel like "that stuff in a can/bottle" just won't do the trick. This recipie scales up easily as well and keeps in the freezer for quite some time.
