who knew 5 ingredients could be so scrumptious! I used walnuts b/c that's what I had. Definitely use real butter. Thanks for the recipe! I will be making these for years to come!

Cherry Pie III

Very tasty.. used cherries from our tree (my husband picked and pitted them!) I used my own pie crust recipe and used about 4 c. of cherries, but no more sugar! Mm!

Asparagus Quiche

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I thought this was sooo good! I used not quite a lb. of fresh asparagus and I used a whole lb. of bacon. I did this in a 9x13 pan and made my own pie crust and just pressed it into the pan. I also used swiss cheese and added a little mozzarella and cheddar too. Oh-- also instead of steaming the asparagus, after I fried the bacon, I sauteed the asparagus chopped up and a little chopped onion in the bacon grease. Very very good-- will make this often!

Creamy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Easy and so yummy!! Next time I may do 1 pkg. jello w/ 1 c. boiling water AND 1 c. cold water like I've done w/ a similar cake-- makes it more moist. Will definitely make again! thanks!

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
Mmmmm!!! Good stuff! The only thing is I didn't use cornmeal b/c I didn't have any... I just greased pans w/ crisco well. I also used a rounded T. of sugar. I only had one loaf pan, so I used one regular loaf pan and one mini loaf pan and divided into 4 for that and baked about 15 min. for the mini loaves. I couldn't wait until they were cool, but I tried it and this is definitely going into my favorites and will be making probably at least once a week!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Chocolate-Mint Creme Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I hate when ppl. rate a recipe w/o trying the exact recipe first, so I will give this 5 stars. I did double the mint extract like one suggested and like that I'd rate it 4 stars, but I think w/ just the 1/8 t. it would be 5 stars just like the recipe is written. Thank you!

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This was very good... a little different from your normal meatloaf. My husband gave it 4 stars... I'd give it 5. I think it might've tasted better to let it sit a little longer than I did. The only difference I did was use almost a cup of crushed saltines instead of the bread. Thanks for the recipe!

Watergate Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
Mmm... this is very good. I made it in a pie plate and cut in half b/c I didn't have enough to do the whole recipe. I probably used more nuts in the crust. I did enough nuts and cherries to cover the top. Will definitely make this again soon-- the whole recipe!

This was very good. I tried it exactly as written, then I tried it with butter instead and added a dash of salt. Much better the 2nd way. Sets well. Thanks for the recipe!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Yummy! Love the crust for these. Next time I would double the ricotta and add more pepperoni. I used mozzarella, cheddar and an Italian blend of cheese. I would also instead of combining the ricotta and the cheeses and everything, I think I will combine the pepperoni and ricotta, but leave the cheese and mushrooms to add on top. it was a little hard to spread out onto the dough. I will not add as much basil either. This was very good dipped in a tomato sauce/parmesan cheese/Italian seasoning sauce. Will definitely make this again... maybe not every week, but maybe every other!

Oatmeal Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
These were really good! As I began making them I realized I didn't have much flour, so I used 1/2 c. wheat flour and 1/2 c. regular. My package of toffee bits said 1 1/3 c. so I added 1/2 c. semi-sweet choc. chips. I didn't add the pecans just b/c I was short on time and would've had to chop them. I baked them at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. they might not look done, but if you wait until they look done, they will get crispy. I like a chewy cookie and that's what these were with a really good flavor. thanks for the recipe. Will definitely make these again!!

Mom's Island Treasures

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
These are wonderful cookies. I ate 3 in a row and wanted more! I used 3/4 c. real butter. I also used the 1 c. choc. chips, but did 1 1/2 c. each of the coconut and pecans. Perfect. I did have to cook a little longer, probably b/c they were bigger due to the fact I used the pamp. chef medium scoop. Will defnitely make these again. Love them!

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This was pretty good. I took it to dinner at a friend's house and they really liked it. Next time I think I will double the sauce-- a little too dry for me. I also used 1 tsp. salt and was plenty.

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
Love this cheesecake! Always get rave reviews when I make it. Not too rich. Follow the recipe exactly. I don't understand how people say this is not good, especially when they don't follow the recipe!! You cannot subsitute a store-bought crust for this crust. It is one of my favorite things about this recipe. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
These were very good. I didn't have mini muffin tins, so I followed someone's suggestion and just scooped them onto a baking sheet (stone) with pampered chef medium scoop. then pressed the reese's cup into the center once they came out of the oven. If you push them gently the cookie doesn't break as much, but I think it will crack a little. I hate that you have to wait to eat them, but I just ate 3 in a row. Love them and will make again. Thanks for the recipe. **Also, I only got 30 cookies from this recipe.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
This was very good. I doubled the sauce like someone suggested with the 4 Tbsp. cornstarch. I used red and yellow peppers. I've used a diff. recipe for this in the past and think I prefer it a tad to this, just b/c there's a little more sourness to the other. Maybe I could add more vinegar or something? Overall very good and my kids loved it too. My son isn't a big meat eater and was gobbling up the meatballs. Thanks for the recipe.
