Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2014
When I took my first bite, I thought yuk! I was sooooo disappointed then I took another and another and the flavors started to kick in and oh boy was I in heaven. I added a little more cranberries than called for and chopped up a granny smith apple. I used fresh herbs, doubling the amount and utilized a good amount of chicken stock. I stirred the mixture occasionally while cooking and after 40 minutes covered at 350, I removed the covering and cooked for an additional 15 minutes. I used the spiciest turkey sausage I could find and added a little sage turkey sausage. Everyone thought this stuffing was quite tasty and did not notice spiciness. I made another batch of traditional stuffing just in case this didn't turn out well. I used the same sausage and Pepperidge Farms seasoned and cornbread stuffing in a bag. The consensus was the traditional stuffing was much spicier but still quite good. When it came time to take a plate home I hid my sausage/apple/cranberry stuffing and dished out the traditional lol. I will definitely make this again.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
As my little niece says, "nummy, nummy". EVERYONE thought I was a soooo talented to have made this from scratch, even those who dont like cranberry sauce (myself included) liked the taste of this one. Almost easier than opening the canned version. Whatever you do, don't walk away from this while it's cooking. It only takes a minute to start boiling all over the place.

Deep-Fried Turkey Marinade

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Followed directions exactly, made creole seasoning from this site....bird came out black and everyone thought I burned it, thanks to pics and previous reviews, I knew it might look burned (NOTE: it does not have a burnt taste, the skin is delicious). I calmly told them that was the way it was supposed to look and once they tasted it, the rave reviews were nonstop. I had my sister make a regular turkey just in case (I needed those juices to make my gravy anyway). That turkey was brined and it was delicious as well. I used an electric fryer from QVC, fried the turkey in peanut oil and I couldn't be happier with my new way to cook a turkey! I made cranberry sauce from a recipe on this site....more rave reviews! This really cuts down on oven usage...my dinner was on time for a change!

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Good golly, Miss Molly was this ever good! It took no time to mix together and the seasoning amounts were perfect. Just a slight hint of warmth but nothing to worry about for those who don't like hot/spicy foods. In fact, those who like their food on hotter side could probably add more cayenne, but I thought it was perfect as written. I used it on a shrimp and spaghetti recipe from this site and I couldn't tell the difference from what's served in a fine restaurant (I used to eat out a lot). This has to be among some of the top recipes found on this site, actually should be 6 stars! UPDATE....I used this recipe for my fried turkey marinade, found on this site. What a lifesaver. Soooo easy and delicious. Thanks again.

Win's Shrimp and Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
I made this exactly as written using the Creole seasoning recipe from this site. I was afraid the butter would be way too much but I didn't want to alter the recipe the very first time. It was delicious and soooo easy to make. If you want to impress your friends, serve this dish with a nice salad and warm bread/rolls of your choice. Yum!
