Yellow Squash Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
I've made this recipe three times and it's good, but kinda bland as written. It needs about 1/2 tsp of Tony Chachere's and a dash of hot sauce in the mixture for seasoning. Also I've found that butter and a little bacon grease is the best oil to cook it in, not vegetable oil, as butter always produces nicely browned and light patties and the bacon grease lends more flavor. And cook it a little cooler than medium, mine tend to cook too quick or want to burn at the recommended medium.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
Really great recipe. Make sure you pound your breasts really thin so you can have a full wrap and your stuffing won't ooze out. Also partially cook the bacon before wrapping. Overall a great recipe and good change from the normal chicken recipes.

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
SERIOUSLY GOOD!!! This recipe is perfect as far as the ravioli prep. Instead of regular ole spaghetti sauce, I used one 7 1/2 oz. can of El Pato Tomato Sauce (for its bite) and simmered it with two cloves of garlic and one quarter onion and ended up with one hell of a dipping sauce for this appetizer. This one is one recipe I won't forget for an unexpected crowd pleaser.

Bar Stool Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
These are great! This is my #1 snack (although my husband doesn't care for them OR my breath while I eat them :-) ). I add a tbsp of seasoning salt to the butter mixture, and I also use about 3/4 of the amt of butter called for. Wonderful!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This is a great recipe, even if you don't use expensive cheeses found in delis. I subbed sour cream for mayo, lengthened the cook time by 10 minutes and made a double batch for a group of 30 people, putting it all in a 9x13 inch pyrex dish. It turned out beautiful and there were lots of compliments. About three quarters was eaten, but that's ok because the leftovers were delicious too! Thanks for a great recipe.

French Spring Soup

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
This is a very good, nourishing soup, and worth all the chopping. Even though it lacks a meat, my husband just loves it! I too followed the 1/2 chicken broth and 1/2 water combo and added about a tsp. of white pepper. Wonderful! Thank you!

My boyfriend and I love this recipe. All the measurements are perfect, and we add a little sesame oil as another reviewer suggested. We like to steam the cabbage slightly before tossing.

This is the most authentic egg drop soup I've ever cooked. I used minced fresh ginger and chopped green onions instead of chives and it was delish. Thanks! I'm sure I'll be committing this one to memory.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
This soup was good, but turned out less hearty than I expected. I added about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and that did the trick. All the measurements were right on, it's a good recipe.

This was awesome!! The only change I made was to double the cayenne pepper and use a can of whole tomatoes instead of the tomato sauce. Perfect!
