I'm a 47 year old grand father of 7. I had to learn to cook as a kid because I was a finicky eater. Now I just love to cook for others. I love to cook with my 5yo grand daugher on the week ends.
My favorite things to cook
I'll try to cook just about anything at least one time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My fondest memory of food and always a favorite comfort food for me is potatoes and eggs. This is something that was made for me as a child. “Fry sliced or chunked potatoes until tender and brown, then crack eggs over potatoes and cook until done, salt and pepper to taste.
My cooking tragedies
I remember one time when I was about 10, I tried to make my sister in law scrambled eggs and ever time that I tried it came out like a sponge. It took me almost 2 dozen eggs to get it rite and even the dog wouldn’t eat the mistakes.

Quick Cheeseburger Pie
I made this with my Grand doughter who at the time was 7. We opted to not put in the pickles and to just add the juce. She didn't like pickles on her burgers.

Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce
I made this for Christmas and it was a hit. Tasted even better the next day.
