Veggie Burgers!
Delicious Pasta!
Sweet Potato Soup... YUM!
About this Cook
I'm a medical student who doesn't have much time to cook... To be honest, I cook one time per week a whole big batch of 'something' that lasts for the whole week. Sounds boring? Maybe, but I try and make stuff I really enjoy eating and wouldn't mind eating day after day. Also, I'm a tomato addict... I really am. I eat several of them a day, raw with nothing on it. YUM!
My favorite things to cook
Salads, Eggs, Cucumber soup, pasta, lentil soup
My favorite family cooking traditions
It's not really a tradition, but we all enjoy the following: -Mom's Cucumber soup -Koogle (both sweet and salty) -Potatoe casserole -Dad's brownies ... which means that each one of us had to master all of these recipes at a certain point so we could feed the hungry troops (aka our family). As we are not originally from the States we didn't celebrate Thanksgiving until about 5 years ago... it wasn't hard to adopt this holiday as it is all about food :o)
My cooking triumphs
Let's see... at first it was not burning stuff... Now it is more on the line of finding a great recipe and successfuly making it
My cooking tragedies
Too numerous to count. Nevertheless, they were all fun!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers
I loved this recipe! I changed it a bit, as I wanted to use up what I had at home (I added chopped tomatoe, but didn't have green pepper, used differet spices). I could only eat 2 patties at a time, but kept the already made mix in the fridge and just made two new patties later on. Thank you for this recipe! Definitely a keeper, and so easy to make! I always look for new vegetarian recipes :o)

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans
This was very easy to make. I loved the end results-- so colourful and delicious! I changed just a few things-- I used regular diced tomatoe cans with low sodium and added salt myself. As the Feta was salty enough I will probably not add any salt to the sauce next time around. I used a medium onion and several minced cloves of garlic to add some flavor. I used a 9oz bag of spinach, but I would probably use more next time, as it adds so much flavor and colour. Lastly, I was running low on spices, so I added just basil. I'm sure this will be even better with a few more herbs and spices. Turned out great!!! Thanks for the recipe.

Cream of Sweet Potato Soup
Delicious and easy to make! I just made it tonight-- Used Vegetable broth instead of chicken, but otherwise used the same recipe. Thank you-- I'll be sure to make it a few more times this winter.
