This one was a mixed bag for us: 3 stars from my husband, and 1 1/2 stars from my 9yr old and myself - split down the middle, I gave this 2 stars.
I was hesitant to try this recipe because of the peculiar ingredients, however based on the rave reviews I gave it a shot.
I made the recipe exactly as is, using real bacon bits (my preference)and Soy Vay Very Very Teriyaki. Part of the problem may have been the type of teriyaki I used, because this recipe came out almost too sweet. It's the only teriyaki sauce I ever use, so I was surprised it came out that way. (I've marinated chicken with it in the past, and never had a problem)
My husband had 2 helpings and said he would eat it again, but my daughter and I only got through half of it before turning our plates in. Our initial response was that we liked it, but the flavors became too much and it kind of got to us both.
My teenager wasn't home, so he'll get the leftovers.
I probably won't make this again.
