Chocolate Snowdrops

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
While I thought these were "okay", a lot of other people really enjoyed them. I did not really like making them as the batter was SO stiff! My arm was aching trying to mix this stuff!

Cherry Cream Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
These were really easy and really good. I made them for church and they were gone pretty quick!

Crispy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and doubled the seasonings. They baked up nice and crispy and delicious! Very good, especially since it came from the oven!

Corn Fritters

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I cooked up a few of these, tasted them and decided they should be sweeter. I added a lot of sugar, (not sure how much) and they were sweeter, but not something I would make again. They kind of reminded me of hush puppies with corn in them. I also feel compelled to share this **WARNING** with others... I have never had this happen, but the first batch I put in the fry daddy, when I was turning them over in the grease, one exploded and HOT grease burned my finger and got all over my cabinets! Not sure if any one else has experienced this, but be careful!!!!

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
These were pretty good. I am not sure if the mayo has to sit for a pretty good while before you can really taste the garlic, but I couldn't really tell it was there. My husband loved them. I did add a little montreal steak seasoning, pepper and garlic to the meat when I cooked it though.

Pork Tenderloins with Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I think this needed a little extra "oomph" to be a 5 star recipe... but I think it was easy and relatively quick to make, so I will attempt to figure out how to make it a little more flavorful!

Butter Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
This was very easy to make and we liked it okay. My husband and I agreed it is nice for something different, but not something I would add to my recipe box to make often. The taste was surprisingly "tangy"... not what we expected, but decent.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
Okay, we loved the filling and the chocolate, but the crust part was disgusting! It puffed up beautifully and it looked nice, but it was way too eggy tasting! It needs to be less egg tasting and a little sweeter. We just scraped all the stuff off the crust and ate it by itself! I am thinking maybe I will try using a puff pastry next time for the bottom layer.

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I have never had Jambalaya, and my family thought this was ok, but nothing we would make often...

Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
We like the flavor, but I end up adding a little orange juice or water to it because it is so thick!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
We absolutely loved this! It was delicious. My husband added a little bit of chili powder and it really was good. We even froze half of it in a ziploc baggy and after thawing a few days later, it was even better. Much better than the kind we buy at the store!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! I put brown sugar in a bowl and threw in a few smokies at a time and tossed to coat. I then sprinkled brown sugar on top and when they were nice and done, I used a spoon to scoop up some of the melted brown sugar from the pan and spooned it over the smokies in the crock pot. They are absolutely wonderful!!! A super easy treat to make :)

Blueberry Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
I think maybe I should have added a little sugar to the blueberry filling because it wasn't very sweet. I will use this recipe again though. I wet my hands and carefully pressed out just enough of the dough to cover the bottom before I added the blueberries. I had plenty of topping left to completely cover the blueberry filling.

Chocolate Rainbow Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
I don't think I will be making these again. when I tried to cut them, it was hard to get them out of the pan without them falling apart and most of the topping fell off. After reading the other reviews, I guess I could have done something wrong, but with such a simple recipe, I am not sure what I could have possibly done to make them turn out that way.

Country House Fudge

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
This stuff is incredibly rich! I used only one pan because I was doing a lot of baking and was running out of pans... it came out really thick, but I will probably cut the pieces in half once I put them out at church.

Chocolate Toffee Crunchies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
This was good, but I think the "toffee" layer should have been a little thicker. I think if I make them again, I will double that portion of the recipe.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
My husband and I absolutely loved this cornbread. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfect. It was very moist and flavorful. My three daughters didn't seem too fond of it for some reason though.

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
Okay, the taste was good and the sauce was good, but I am only giving it 3 stars because... it was hard to cut, hard to coat, hard to handle, and hard to cook. I found that when I took it out of the oil, some of the coating deep in the onion was still uncooked. I think I will stick to onion rings, which are much easier to make. I might keep the sauce recipe, however.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
The only things I did differently were to cook the chicken in the skillet with Lawry's and garlic powder. I also added a little bit of French's onions to my chopper when I was crunching up the crackers. I sprinkled a little bit of cheese on top of the chicken mixture before topping with the buttery cracker mix. My husband and daughters absolutely loved it! It was a big hit at our house and I am sure we will keep this one around! Thanks for a simple and delicious recipe!!!

Side of the Trail Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
I hate to leave a less than 5 star review for a recipe that only has 5 star ratings so far... but me and my husband did not like these. They were not sweet at all and the texture was a little strange. I will not be using this one again.
