Steve's Famous Garlic Home Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
I used a heavy duty non-stick pan and these turned out perfectly. I did add a lot more garlic, salt, and pepper. Very good!

Steak House Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
I sliced these instead of cutting into pieces. I baked them for about 30 minutes with the foil on, then stirred them gently. They looked a little dry, so I added about 1/2 cup more each of cream and milk. I baked them another 35 minutes and added the cheese. I didn't measure, just sprinkled over until it looked good. I baked about 5 minutes more to melt the cheese. We loved them. They were so creamy and good! I will be making these more often!

Sunshine Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
I made this for supper the other night. I was able to do six at a time on my griddle. I cut the holes, buttered them up real good, and seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I also added shredded cheese. My family ate them up!

This was SO rich and sweet. I liked the texture though. It was like fudge in a pie shell.

Rosemary Pasta in Roasted Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
We did not like this. I followed the directions exactly, but I think the amount of rosemary was too much!

my husband did not care much for these, but I loved them. I thought they tasted like the filling for my stuffed peppers...very good and a nice change of pace.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
My family did not like the "gravy" in this recipe. We enjoyed the meat, but next time I will just use plain brown gravy.

Potato Chowder Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I added more potatoes and tons of seasoning to this soup and we still didn't like it. I also boiled the vegetables in broth, but this is not a keeper for my family. We each finished our one bowl, because we were hungry and that is what we had for supper, but I wouldn't make it again. The corn made the soup sweet and I imagine without adding the stuff I added, the original would have been very bland.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
The only things I did differently were to add some potatoes to the marinade (since there was plenty of marinade) and I broiled my skewers instead of grilled. My whole family loved it! My husband suggested next time I add some cubed onions. Very yummy flavor!

Pineapple Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I added 4 oz of cream cheese to this and I am glad I did. I do not see how this would set up without something a little thicker in the mix. I ended up freezing it to get it thick enough to hold together. The flavor was wonderful though.

Sad Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I used toffee chips instead of the pecans and I did add a yummy glaze... but I really loved the texture of this. My whole family enjoyed it. It was sweet and chewy. Very good and nice to have something different!

Pork Chop Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I seasoned this a lot more than the recipe called for, and it turned out pretty good. I really liked the potato mixture. I think my family would prefer the chops separate from the potatoes though. It was a little bit of a hassle to try to get the chops out with the right amount of potatoes... but I will make the potato portion again for sure.

Potato Chip Cookies

These were okay. I expected them to be really different with the potato chips, but they tasted just like shortbread. The crunch was kind of fun, but nothing amazing overall.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
This was super easy to make and it smelled delicious... but the italian dressing really didn't go with the other flavors. My daughters and I ate it, but my husband could barely choke down one helping. Maybe it would be better without the dressing...

Rich Danish Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
Well... I liked the texture of the waffles, but they were way too egg-y for our tastes. I think I would like to try this recipe again, but I will probably only use 2 eggs. My other waffle recipes use 1 egg for 2 cups of flour. I didn't find them very sweet at all... maybe because the egg taste overpowered everything else.
