Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
These were great. They were really chocolatey and moist. I will keep this recipe to make again. Thanks.

Frozen Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
This was really easy to make, but the flavor wasn't as good as I had hoped. I might make it again. I may have to just play around with it to figure out how to make it taste right.

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Easy to make and delicious. Some of us ate them with syrup and some with strawberries and powdered sugar. My 5 year old likes blueberries so I threw a handful of frozen ones on top of her batter before putting it in the oven. It turned out great.

Oatmeal Carmelitas

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
WOW!!! These were fantastic! I did bake them about 7 or 8 minutes longer than stated though. They just didn't look done yet after only 15 minutes. I will be making these again definitely!

Easy and tasted good. They weren't the best but worked great for a kid Halloween party.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
These were good the first day, but after that they were soggy and kinda gross. I don't think I'll make them again. I think they could've been a little more pumpkin-y tasting as well!

Peanut Butter Christmas Mice

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
These were easy to make and tasted okay. They seemed a little dry. Maybe more peanut butter would make them better.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
I added a little extra sugar and I added cinnamon and we still didn't care for this. My kids wouldn't eat it and I didn't really like it... kinda bland. I ended up throwing half of it away.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I made these exactly as the recipe stated, and I had no problems forming them into balls to roll in the powdered sugar. These are so good! They are soft and sweet and very delicious! I will make this recipe again!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
These turned out fine, but I don't think they were any better than any other snickerdoodles I've ever made. From the reviews I expected something phenomonal and these were just regular old snickerdoodles. Sorry...maybe I just set my expectations to high!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
This was easy to make, but I think it could've tasted a little better. It was also a pain to cut and serve, I wasn't really sure how to do it without making a mess.

Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
These were amazing! I halved the recipe and made a couple of them really small for my daughters'. I still ended up with 4 good sized bowls. I thought it was really easy and they tasted great. We filled them with my husband's famous chili and they were a hit! I am planning on using the excess bread pieces to make some baked french toast. My husband suggested trying them next time with beef stew which we think would be fantastic! We will definitely make these again!!!!

Beignets

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Well, I have never had a beignet, so I guess I didn't know exactly what to expect... but we didn't really like these. I added cinnamon and extra sugar to the dough so they would be sweet, but they still weren't. If it weren't for a ton of powdered sugar, we wouldn't have eaten a single one. I guess I was hoping the beignet itself would be a little more flavorful. Sorry!

Honey Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
I added a little cinnamon, but the flavor wasn't quite what I expected. My three daughters LOVED it, but my husband and I weren't real excited about it. I definitely wouldn't make it again without halving the recipe at least. I didn't like it well enough to waste that much butter!

Angel Biscuits II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
These were okay, I added a little more sugar than the recipe called for because I wanted them a little sweeter. They were easy to make and turned out nice, it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

After reading the reviews, I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for. I still didn't really care for these potatoes. They were a disappointment. Sorry :(

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
I found out we were going to a cookout and needed something to bring that was quick. I had a small chocolate cake that I had made and frozen in the freezer. I thawed it and whipped up this frosting. It was perfect. It tasted great and looked really smooth. It saved the day!

Sock it to Me Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
Delicious! I omitted the nuts and I added a little extra cinnamon to the cake mix. I also dusted the pan with a cinnamon/ sugar mixture first. (I got that idea from the recipe for Banana Sour CreamBread found on this site.) I also doubled the cinnamon/brown sugar mix for the middle. This will be a definite keeper!
