Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2014
We loved this recipe, it was a hit with everyone! And it's so easy & convenient to have supper cooking when the football game is on in the afternoon :) The only thing I did differently was to add garlic. I might like to add a half an onion, chopped, next time. We will definitely have this again!

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
I love these!! So delicious and pretty easy. I made a half batch as Soprano39 had done and that was the perfect amount. I did cook it longer too as many had commented about, and I'm glad I did - they weren't runny at all. I made this because my son in the air force requested them, and he & I are the only ones in the house that like pecan pie, so I was able to get most of these sent off to him leaving me with a few to enjoy too. I'll definitely make these again!

How to Make Perfect Polenta

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
This was really good and quite easy. It cooked up a lot quicker for me, I have a flat top stove so I probably needed to have it set on a lower setting, I'll remember that next time. Still it came out so smooth and tasty! And easier than I imagined, I've never even had polenta until recently, so I'm really glad to have a new option to serve with meals. I also watched the video so that made me feel a lot more confident to try this.

Kielbasa Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
This recipe isn't bad, it's not fantastic either but we would have it again. We followed the recipe very closely. Used spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce, and added garlic. Next time I plan to add diced green peppers, they would go really good in this casserole.

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
These are great, everyone loves them! I used riesen caramel candies, they didn't look like caramel filled cookies when we bit into them but that doesn't matter because they taste so delicious. The dough is very soft, and it's good that the directions say to keep it in the fridge as you work with a quarter of the dough at a time! But they're well worth the work. I didn't add walnuts to the dough, just to the top with the sugar. I will definitely make these again!

Cauliflower with Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
We loved this; I took the advise of many reviews and steamed the cauliflower for 4 minutes, added to a casserole pan, mixed in the "sauce" and topped with the cheese - then broiled to melt the cheese and it was really so good! My husband ate it and liked it but he thinks he'd like it even more if we used a little less mayo.

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
Yum, delicious, these are fantastic!! I did use butter instead of margerine but that's the only change. Next time I'd like to add walnuts, because I love them in cookies, but the taste and texture of these are really good!

Hasselback Biscuits

We loved this! I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt, but that's the only change. I would probably use less butter next time, but my guys thought this was excellent.

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
These are very good, very sweet but we loved them, although I would cut back on the sugar a little next time. They are a heavy cookie, they don't spread out at all when they cook but that didn't matter very much to us.

Emma's Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
Yum! Really really good! I was hoping to find a recipe that was a bit better than typical waffles and I'm so glad I tried this recipe!! I did have to make my own self rising flour (easy to find out how by searching the web) and I followed the tips that HottKoko81 shared - I topped mine with store bought frozen raspberries thawed - amazing!

Bryan's Sweet and Hot Tomato Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
This is so good!! I made it to go with "Crispy Chicken Parmesan" per the request of my son for his birthday supper choice - we all loved it! The only thing I'd do different next time is try it with a little less sugar, and we only used the initial 1/2c and found that to be a bit too much but it wasn't so bad, everyone liked it just thought it was a bit too sweet.

Chocolate Island Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
These are really good - curiosity made me try them because they sounded so different. Like the other reviews said, they are cakey but still very good. I followed the recipe very close, the only change was that I didn't top them with coconut but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly as written. My son isn't a huge fan of coconut and if I topped them with coconut he wouldn't eat them - a little coconut cooked in the cookie isn't too much for him. I really like the slight taste of coffee in these too! I love the frosting! I'm glad I tried these.

Dad's Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
These are pretty good, not great in our opinion but better than they look. I was curious about this recipe, I never made one with oil before and I know oil is better than butter & shortening for cholesterol but I just don't know, I think I'd prefer other types of cookies instead. I did add 1/2c choc chips so my boys will eat them too lol

Homemade Shake and Bake Mixture

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
5+ stars! absolutely delicious! I know I'm not writing anything more than what others have written, but the chicken was perfectly tender and the flavor so delicious - everyone loved it! It makes a lot too so I refridgerated the excess, I probably used 1/4 of it for 5 chicken breasts. I followed the recipe closely, the only change I made was to swap garlic powder for the garlic salt. It was great and we'll have this regularly!

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
Awesome! Delicious! These are my husband's new favorite cookie. I didn't make any changes to this recipe, no changes are needed! I think the cookie part reminds me a little of a brownie, but they are a nice firm cookies, something about the denseness of them though but these are rich and delicious and I think we're addicted!

Eggnog Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I LOVE these cookies! They're delicious and cute :) they went really nice with the other cookies to add variety for my holiday mix. I only made one small change (as many others had) I used 1tsp rum extract and 2tsp water in the filling. I'll make these again, maybe even tonight :)
