Mom's Beef Shish Kabobs
Omitted the additional salt but otherwise followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
Usually the first time I make a recipe I try to follow it to a T but unfortunately I didn't have sweet italian sausage, the italian plum tomatoes or fresh herbs so I used dry herbs (1 T fresh = approx 1 tsp dry), a regular mild italian sausage and 1 (14.5 oz) can of stewed italian style tomotoes & 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced italian style tomatoes instead. Since my sausage already had a little spice to it I scaled back the red pepper flakes a bit (1 tsp instead of 2) & it turned out excellent. Everyone went back for 2nds! This was so quick and easy to prepare & the minor changes worked very well. Will definately be implementing this into my regular rotation!

Broccoli Cheese Bake
This was just OK for us, nothing to write home about. Added a clove of fresh minced garlic to try to bring up the flavor a bit, but was still lacking something. Maybe next time I'll try a more robust cheese like a sharp white chedder; swiss was just too mild a flavor.
