Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
Terrific recipe! I didnt even measure anything, just eyeballed it. Used scallions b/c it what I had. Seared the meat quickly, then stuffed & put in oven. The trick to pork is cook to 145 degrees then let rest, dont't go by time! Thank you for this recipe, will be making often!

Fried Avocados

I think this a wonderful idea to do something different with an avocado instead of the same old boring guac. We all know its not the best for you, but it sure is good!!!!

Pork Medallions with Balsamic Vinegar and Capers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
If you in a hurry turn the heat up for the sauce but dont leave it & stir constantly. I did then added a cornstarch slurry bc I listened to reviews (mistake) & ended up with too thick of a sauce & had to add water. But the sauce turned out wonderful added mushrooms. When reducing a sauce you cant go by a recipe bc stoves vary, learn your stove! This recipe was awesome!!!

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
I will not give this a bad review, b/c honestly think I did something wrong. They tasted great, but did not rise at all. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate. Things I did different: used yeast for pizza crust, all I had. Used olive oil instead of butter for the dough, b/c I only had enough to make the cinnamon filling (which I did double the brown sugar, which it didnt melt away as bad). I just recently got the bread machine, so everything is an experiment for me. So Im thinking it was probably the yeast or/and olive oil. Oh one more thing. Most bread recipes use warm water/milk for the yeast to work.

Chicken Andouille Gumbo

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This recipe is really great. Only thing different I did was add onion, garlic & used a can of Rotel tomatoes instead on Italian style. Also added some crawfish because I love it. I have even made it with a bone-in boston butt that was left over. Excellent recipe, just added things I really like to it. And no one says gumbo is a "quick fix meal". If you want it to turn out right you have to do it the right way with no shortcuts or substitutions just to save time, not fair to complain in a review when you dont do it the right way to begin with. This is an excellent recipe, thank you for sharing.

Crawfish Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
This is the best "any kind of seafood" chowder I have ever eaten, even in restaurants. And all the simple ingredients make it even better. All I did was add extra seasoning & a dab of lemon juice. Can't beat this for a large dinner party!

Grilled Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This is the first chicken recipe my husband actually went crazy for. I used boneless chicken breast cause it was all i had at the time. Marinated it in the sauce for a couple of hours then put it on the grill and kept basted it with the sauce. This will definatley be my future chicken recipe!!!

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2006
This recipe is awesome, made it last night & my husband loved it as did I. I used veal loin chops because I couldnt find lamb. It was wonderful except I overcooked it (my fault). Only thing I changed was adding garlic. He wants me to make it again tonite using beef tenderloin instead. This will definately become a new sauce in our house.

Spicy Oil and Vinegar Bread Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
I make this all the time and usually dont have time to do it overnight, so if you are in a hurry add about 2 tablespoons of butter and microwave for 1 minute. The addition of butter seems to hold it all together. Also I add about a teaspoon of rosemary to it. Wonderful recipe if you like basalmic vinegar which I love.
