Donna's Cheesy Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
This was wonderful! I did add 3 extra eggs with an extra cup of heavy whipping cream and all the spices - it just seemed to small without it. Still only took 50 minutes to cook and was a family hit! I'll definitely be making this again.

Caramel Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
This is such a simple, yummy recipe that makes the whole house smell wonderful! I also made a caramel sauce that I served warm on top: 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter and 2 tbsp corn syrup - combine ingredients in small sauce pan and stir over high heat for one minute. Delicious!

Fast and Delicious Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
My whole family loved this recipe (even my picky eaters). Because we have 5 kids, I doubled the recipe and added 2 chopped celery stalks and a cup of corn. I used turkey ham for a healthier meat. It was fantastic! I'll definitely make this recipe again.

Strawberry Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
Very simple and good. Made it with frozen strawberries and banana cream pie pudding... think it would have been better with fresh strawberries and vanilla pudding. It was still very yummy, though.

Salmon Spread I

Was VERY cream cheesy even though I nearly tripled the salmon. Would have really liked a more salmony recipe.

Creamy Strawberry Crepes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
So easy, quick, delicious and filling! Just the way I love them in a restaurant! I'll definitely be making this recipe again. I didn't add the butter to the crepes and they were perfect! I might, however, double the crepe portion of the recipe since there was so much filling. :)

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
Wonderful bird! I doubled the spices like I had read on other reviews... it was a bit overwhelming, but still SUPER delicious. Next time, I won't double the spices... I'll make it just as it is called for. Still a 5 out of 5 star rating!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Much better 2 days later. I loved making so much at once. My pumpkin puree was 29 ounces, so I doubled the recipe and made 6 loaves. Wow!!! That was a lot of pumpkin bread. Very good recipe!

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Amazing ~ I'll definitely make this again... could not get enough of the topping. I've already borrowed the recipe for the topping and added it to my favorite rhubarb crisp (without strawberries!!!). Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
Excellent! For recipes calling for a pre-baked pie crust, I simply bake the rolled out crust that is in a pie pan for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Also, I've found that using butter flavored Crisco helps the flavor a lot!!!

Strawberry Pie V

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
Soooo delicious!!! I made this pie in 5 minutes flat. I reduced the sugar by using a 0.6 ounce package of sugar free jello instead of a 3 ounce jello package. Also, the jello was blackcherry, not strawberry, which gave it a VERY FRESH taste. I'll definitely be making this extremely quick and yummy pie again!!!!

This recipe was OK. It was kind of dry and plain. I doubt I'll make it again, but it was an experiment and worth the try.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
Such a unique and delicious cobbler. I doubled the breaded too as suggested by other users and I'm so glad I did! I tried this recipe twice, once with yellow peaches and once with white peaches. Although the white peach is usually my favorite, in this recipe I HIGHLY RECOMMEND only using yellow peaches. I'm going to definitely make this recipe again!
