About this Cook
Born in Los Angeles. I have lived in Covina which is approximately 20 miles outside of Los Angeles. I enjoy cooking and baking for others. I especially like seeing the joy on their faces while eating. Usually I don't eat what I bake. I also like taking a recipe and doctoring it up a bit to make it my own.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate chip cookies is my favorite. Other than chocolate chip cookies, I like experimenting with different recipes.
My cooking triumphs
One I can think of is a red velvet cake I made from scratch for a family gathering and friends. The best compliment I received was from a friend who thought I bought the cake at a bakery. Oh, and I think I make some pretty good chili beans.
My cooking tragedies
I tried baking a peach thing which called for a box of cake mix and canned peaches. It was horrible. Needless to say, I threw it away. I am sure I have had others.

I tried this recipe today. Taste was o.k. The cooking time stated in the directions is way too long. The popovers were done in the first 20 minutes. Had I left them in the oven an additional 20 minutes, they would have been burnt! I would not use this recipe again.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
I love blueberries, and this muffin recipe is great! The recipe is fairly simple, but I did not have regular milk so I used buttermilk. I made "jumbo" size muffins, though, since I do not have a regular size muffin pan. I should have taken a picture of the muffins, but I thought of it too late. They were gone too fast. I will definitely make these muffins again.

Spicy Crab and Shrimp Dip
Very good recipe. I made this for a gathering of friends. My friend's comment was "Yummo!" (I think he is a Rachel Ray fan.)
