Chocolate Hazelnut Tartufo

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
Okay. This is seriously the BEST gelato/ice cream that I have ever had...and I've had gelato in Italy! This was my first time ever making any kind of ice cream...the recipe was very easy to follow and came out better than I could ever imagine! I didn't make the balls, or add cherries...just made the gelato. The grated chocolate (I used milk choc) was absolutely perfect! And it has the perfect amount of coffee flavor. I used to buy gelato in the freezer section of our local grocery store and it was about $9 for a little pint...never again! You just saved me alot of money, THANK YOU!!! ***NOTE TO KTPOPPY: I would change the name to something like "Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato Truffles" so that people can find it in a search...the only way I found this was by going to the ingredient search, typing in "hazelnut" and going through a few pages. It definitely deserves to be found!

Freezer Caramel Drizzle Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
WOW! This pie is amazing! It tastes like a mix of a cheesecake and an ice cream cake with yummy caramel oozing out of everywhere, and the added crunch of the coconut/pecan topping is just perfection. I made it in a 12" round springform pan as per another reviewer's suggestion, and it fit perfectly! I don't know if I will be making it again for myself any time soon due to the outrageous calorie/fat content, but I will definitely make it for any get-togethers or events and pass it off to other people! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!

Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
This was very good, next time I will make it with about a 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese and a different kind of cheese, the Swiss just had too strong of a flavor for me even though I usually love Swiss cheese!

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I left out the raisins, walnuts and coconut due to my family's personal preferences, it came out like a gorgeous, moist carrot/apple muffin...so amazingly good! I frosted them with Cream Cheese Frosting II from this site and they were to die for! Will be making these often!

Beignets

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Okay. My 3 year old daughter LOVES The Princess & The Frog...she asked if I could make these, so I found this recipe. This was my FIRST ever attempt at both making anything using yeast/rising AND first time ever deep frying! It came out beautifully!!! I didn't have any confectioners' sugar, so I made a granulated sugar/cinnamon mixture to roll them in, it was verrrry good. Almost like a mix between a doughnut and a churro! Also, instead of cutting them into squares, I used a little cup that was about 2" in diameter and just used it like a cookie cutter...this made the process VERY fast! It made about 60-70 beignets. Next time, I'm going to try the powdered sugar. Thanks for the great recipe and for helping me break my yeast and frying phobia, my husband will be very happy. =)

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I used to always get breadsticks like these whenever I ate at Fresh Choice and dip them in ranch dressing but they don't make them the same anymore. So I was looking for a recipe that was comparable, I FOUND IT! Thanks. :)

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
This recipe is SO easy and amazingly delicious! The meat practically falls apart and is sooo juicy. I used a Tri-tip roast and added 3 crushed garlic cloves, dry parsley, baby carrots and small red skin potatoes (left whole with skin on). After cooking, I took the potatoes out and mashed them and used the sauce from the roast for gravy - PERFECT! Thank you for an awesome recipe!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
YUM! This was the best apple crisp I've ever had! I left out the water and so glad I did because there was juice at the bottom from the apples after baking. It was more like a "carmely" sauce, so with added water...it would have been too runny. Also, I used Fuji apples, added 1/4 tsp nutmeg and doubled the crumble topping. Another tip: DON'T MELT THE BUTTER! Just soften it, wash your hands and squeeze/crumble the butter into the topping mixture...the warmth of your hands will make the perfect crumbly texture. I served this with French Vanilla Bean ice cream and it was PERFECT! Definitely going to keep making this one...THANK YOU! =)

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I just finished making these...WOW!!! They are the best Snickerdoodles (I would say best cookies but I love chocolate too much!) I have ever had! The recipe is perfect and it made exactly 4 dozen cookies...and exactly the perfect amount of the sugar/cinnamon mixture to coat every cookie without any leftover! AMAZING!!!
