Hi, thanks for visiting my page! I am a 24 year old mommy of two sweet little girls, ages 4 and 2. I definitely inherited my love of baking and cooking from my parents, especially my father. He was born and raised in Switzerland, his father was Swiss and mother was Italian so there was alot of diversity in the foods prepared for him as a little boy. He started learning to cook from his mother and then eventually began cooking for the whole family.
He also spent his summers at his uncle's dairy farm and helped milking the cows, collecting eggs, gardening, etc. His aunt taught him alot of the traditional Swiss farmhouse style cooking, especially breakfasts!
My mom is a health/raw food nut! She even worked at a health-food deli in Los Angeles as a teenager. Now she mostly eats raw food and makes THE BEST salads!!! I will be posting some of her salad recipes soon. :)
My favorite things to cook
Although I have a deep love for my father's cooking, I also feel as if I was a Southern Belle in a past life (if there is such a thing). My heart belongs in the South, even though I've never been there...I just love their way of life, culture, and not to mention the food! I am especially interested in New Orleans and Georgia and would LOVE to travel there someday!

SWISS DESSERTS!!! Nussgipfel, Zopf (Swiss Braid Bread), Linzer Torte, etc.
My cooking triumphs
Making something my boyfriend loves, he is VERY picky...he pretty much wants everything completely plain. The only things he will eat are: MEAT, bread, pasta and occasionally fruit. The ONLY condiments he will eat are ketchup, mustard and BBQ sauce. This makes it very hard to prepare meals in our family because I LOVE veggies!
My cooking tragedies
Steak. For some reason I always burn the outside. :/
