Blackened Tuna

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
Great, simple recipe. I used tilapi fillets instead of tuna but can't wait to try it with tuna and other fish. It had a lot of zip and didn't need anything else. Thanks

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
Light and so easy to throw together. My kids love this one. The recipe has been around for a long time but no one seems to bring it to gatherings anymore. It's always the first item to be eaten at a picnic.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
Excellent recipe! I've served this as a main dish and as appetizers depending on the size shrimp I had on hand. Extra large shrimp for dinner and large for appetizers. I added a little more pepper but otherwise followed the directions exactly. This is a backyard grill favorite. Thanks

Banana Split Cake I

Reviewed: May 9, 2007
This recipe is wonderful! I drizzled with melted chocolate chips but I won't next time because it's not needed. The cake is perfect as the recipe stands.Cut into small pieces when serving because it's very rich.

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
5 stars all the way! This was so easy and tasty. I made mine in a crock pot and the chicken almost shredded itself. Instead of the tomato sauce I used a can of Ro-tel's tomato and green chilis. It makes it extra spicey the way we like it. I will make a bigger batch of this next time and freeze it. Thanks

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
Oh this was so good! I made it the day before we ate it as someone else suggested. The only change I made was to use crisp, fried, turkey bacon. My family likes it better than real bacon. This will be a regular for me. Thanks!

Cheese Ring

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Fantastic! It might sound strange but once people try the jam and cheese they are hooked. I made this at Christmas too. I shaped it into a wreath and served it with jalopena jelly, and garnished it with red and green peppers to look like holly. Everone ask for the recipe. Thanks!

Bravo! This is a great recipe! It's very simple, doesn't have a lot of ingredients, and looks beautiful in a gift tin. Great flavor and crunch. I love the fact that there's no butter to add more fat. Thanks

Peanut Brittle

The best and easiest peanut brittle I have ever made. Easy instructions, I followed it to the letter. After 4 batches I changed the peanuts to roasted, chopped almonds. It turned out great!

Spinach Salad with Honey Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I loved it! I made one little change. I used half the oil and added 1/4 cup bacon grease. If it's really good and hot it blends nicely. Yum!

Very easy and tasty. I used special dark chocolate chips melted in a double boiler. I dipped some in nuts like the recipes says to and some in sweetened coconut. Very pretty

Pig Picking Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This was awesome! I had trouble with my layers cracking in two when I stacked them {because of all the filling in between layers} but it tasted so great no one cared. I will definately make this again. Maybe a sheet cake would work better. Thanks

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
great little recipe! This is a fun one to do with kids. Just make sure a grown up puts the pecan on to squish. They are very hot. One suggestion, don't try to make more than 15 at a time and leave plenty of space in between. It's much easier to work right on the baking sheet that way you can just transfer the whole thing to the freezer for 10 minutes to cool and set up. I ran out of pecans so I topped some with another square pretzel and called it a cookie. Thanks

Take it from an Italian, these are incredible! Super simple and very good with vanilla or anise extract. I dipped mine in chocolate. I added slivered almonds to another batch.

This was fantastic. The only change I made was to add 1/2 cup of uncooked rice as the soup simmered. This is a very filling soup. The whole family loved it! Thanks
