Crepes

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
This was my first attempt at crepes. They turned out super! Thanks! I kept it light by spreading a layer of cool whip on them and added sliced sweetened strawberries. Rolled them and added a dollop of cool whip. Yum!

Strawberry Yogurt Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
I don't know what happened but these scones came out like hard, dry, bisquits. The batter was impossibly crumbly and the flavor was very bland. Sorry.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
Take it from an Italian, these are incredible! Super simple and very good with vanilla or anise extract. I dipped mine in chocolate. I added slivered almonds to another batch.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
This was fantastic. The only change I made was to add 1/2 cup of uncooked rice as the soup simmered. This is a very filling soup. The whole family loved it! Thanks

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Sorry, did not care for this recipe at all. I increased the horseradish as suggested by others but was not pleased with the results.

Chocolate-Dipped Apricots

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
Very easy and tasty. I used special dark chocolate chips melted in a double boiler. I dipped some in nuts like the recipes says to and some in sweetened coconut. Very pretty

Pig Picking Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This was awesome! I had trouble with my layers cracking in two when I stacked them {because of all the filling in between layers} but it tasted so great no one cared. I will definately make this again. Maybe a sheet cake would work better. Thanks

Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
The best and easiest peanut brittle I have ever made. Easy instructions, I followed it to the letter. After 4 batches I changed the peanuts to roasted, chopped almonds. It turned out great!

Apple-Feta Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I really liked this salad but the dressing was a little overpowering to the taste buds. I will try something on the sweeter side next time.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I gave this 4 stars because I liked it but my husband didn't. He thought the feta drowned out the flavor of the squash. Needed to cook it almost twice as long as stated. It is easy though.

Spinach Salad with Honey Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I loved it! I made one little change. I used half the oil and added 1/4 cup bacon grease. If it's really good and hot it blends nicely. Yum!

Cheese Ring

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Fantastic! It might sound strange but once people try the jam and cheese they are hooked. I made this at Christmas too. I shaped it into a wreath and served it with jalopena jelly, and garnished it with red and green peppers to look like holly. Everone ask for the recipe. Thanks!

Fantastic! Just the right amount of sweet and tangy. I used it on a spinach salad and everyone loved it. Can't wait to make cole slaw with it. Thanks

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
Oh this was so good! I made it the day before we ate it as someone else suggested. The only change I made was to use crisp, fried, turkey bacon. My family likes it better than real bacon. This will be a regular for me. Thanks!

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
5 stars all the way! This was so easy and tasty. I made mine in a crock pot and the chicken almost shredded itself. Instead of the tomato sauce I used a can of Ro-tel's tomato and green chilis. It makes it extra spicey the way we like it. I will make a bigger batch of this next time and freeze it. Thanks

Banana Split Cake I

This recipe is wonderful! I drizzled with melted chocolate chips but I won't next time because it's not needed. The cake is perfect as the recipe stands.Cut into small pieces when serving because it's very rich.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
Excellent recipe! I've served this as a main dish and as appetizers depending on the size shrimp I had on hand. Extra large shrimp for dinner and large for appetizers. I added a little more pepper but otherwise followed the directions exactly. This is a backyard grill favorite. Thanks

Great, simple recipe. I used tilapi fillets instead of tuna but can't wait to try it with tuna and other fish. It had a lot of zip and didn't need anything else. Thanks

Sorry, I didn't think the chocolate turned out any better than traditional methods. It's still a messy ordeal but the flavor was good.
