Fantastic! Incredibly easy to make and they come out beautifully. This is the only brownie recipe I will use from now on.

Cake Balls

I substituted 8 ounces of softened cream cheese for the frosting so the taste wasn't my favorite, but everyone else loved them and wanted more. I used a white cake and dipped them in melted milk chocolate and dark chocolate.

German Chocolate Cake III

So good that when I made it for a friend's birthday someone stole it! True story! Substituted milk chocolate because the store didn't have any German chocolate. Also frosted the sides with a French Silk frosting.

Susbtituted yellow cornmeal without any problems. I plan to use white cornmeal next time, just for a different look!

Texas Sheet Cake V

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
These were incredible! I added 1 tsp. cinnamon to the batter for more depth of flavor and used Dutch-processed cocoa. Wonderful! Even though I forgot to bring the butter and cocoa to a boil before adding to the flour they still turned out beautifully. And don't forget to keep scraping down the bowl - it's incredibly thick.

Upside Down Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Amazing, amazing recipe! I will never make a pumpkin pie again! Made a double batch for a dessert night and everyone gave it a 10! I did make a few changes to the topping - instead of using 1 c. butter, I pulsed 1/2 + 2 T. butter into the cake mix with a food processor, then added about 1/3 c. evaporated milk as well. I dropped the batter by spoonfuls onto the top of the cake before sprinkling with the pecans. Turned out even better than the 'regular' batch and it was the first one devoured at the party! I also added 1 tsp. more cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. of nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. ground ginger. This will definitely be on the table for Thanksgiving!
