Southern Fried Chicken Livers

Fabulous! I made them with an asian flare, seasoned flour with Chinese 5 spice. Followed another reviewer's idea and made pancakes with left over milk and flour, added scallions. Served with an asian inspired coleslaw. A huge hit. I buy whole chickens on sale all the time and have saved and frozen chicken livers that I needed some new ideas for. Thanks for the great base recipe that can be made into many flavor profiles!

Avocado and Cilantro Soup

I had a lot of avocados about to turn bad and was looking for a good soup recipe. This recipe was easy to make with great flavors. I use low or no sodium chicken broth so I increased the amount of cilantro, lime and hot sauce to perk up the flavor. I added a touch of walnut oil which was a nice touch. My husband loved it and would be great for guests on a hot summer day.

Serbian Pork and Beef Casserole

I didn't have pork hocks or chops so made it with ground beef and a little more bacon than the recipe called for. I was a bit unsure of what to expect from this recipe although all the other reviews were good. It is a fantastic dish! I was surprised how flavorful it is with very little seasoning. I guess the bacon and saurkraut gives it all it needs. My husband loved this and had three servings! It made a great leftover for lunch. Thanks for sharing this interesting recipe.

Savory Pumpkin Casserole

I made this last night and my husband could not get enough of it! I had some herb butter on hand and gave the onions a very quick sautee in the melted butter before mixing with the pumpkin.

Roasted Duck

I have never had much success cooking duck. This recipe is remarkably simple and delicious! There is no reason to try a more complicated recipe. My cooking time was much shorter than the recipe called for. A thermometer is a good idea.
