I used golden cream of mushroom soup instead and added a splash of white wine. Yummy.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Just leave out the lemon juice. The lemon juice ruins it. Otherwise, it is great.

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Simply the best grilled cheese I ever had. Bread was crisp, cheese melted perfectly, used much less butter. This will be the way I make "grilled" cheese from now on.

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
Very good - Husband loved it. Sauteeing some diced celery and onions (maybe half a cup of each) and adding that to the stuffing made it seem a little more fancy, but all in all -- we will have this again sometime.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
This was so good. I was a little skeptical about dumping the eggs over the whole thing because I thought it would be great without the eggs, but nevertheless, I followed the recipe and forced myself to use the eggs. WOW...it was delicious! I did pre-bake the bottom crust for about 8 minutes, just til it started to brown. I also found that it took a lot longer to cook after the foil was taken off..I think I left it in another half hour to 40 minutes until it was a nice golden brown. This was seriously GOOD.

French Onion Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Definitely needs bulked up a bit...add some red wine, add some worcestershire sauce. Give it some flavor because as it is, it has no taste.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
I am giving this 5 Stars, as I never would have thought of combining these ingredients for the sauce. We loved the sauce. That said, I think it needs a more full-bodied pasta than the angel hair. Fettuccini works well. I have made this recipe twice. The first time, it was delicious, but needed more sauce. The second time, I sliced four chicken breasts into 4 slices (like fingers),added mushrooms and chopped broccoli and attempted to thin down the sauce with 1/2 cup skim milk. The "thinning down" took away from the flavor of the sauce, so next time I will double the sauce instead of thinning it down. Of course, this will also double the calories, so this will be an "occasional meal". All in all, I am pleased with this recipe, but tweaking it a bit. It is a keeper. I can see myself making this a third and a fourth time. It was truly good!

Throw in half a can of tomato paste if you like it a little thicker. Otherwise, pretty good.

Hubby said it was the best beef he ever had...I used a 3 lb. chuck roast and cooked it in a crockpot for about 7 hours. It was great!

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
Excellent. I used two red onions, one white onion and one sweet onion. Didn't have fresh parsley or fresh thyme, so I used the jarred stuff, and I don't think that hurt it at all. I let it simmer all day in the crock pot on "low". We loved it. Good recipe.

Fried Zucchini

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
It does not work real well with cornmeal. You must use cornflake crumbs. Dip the zucchini slices in an egg/milk mix, cover with cornflake crumbs and then fry. This is the right way to do it. Trust me. Been doin' it for years.

Easy Seafood Bisque

It is called "EASY" seafood bisque, because it is just that....easy and delicious without starting completely from scratch. I threw in some little shrimp and some scallops, too, because I had them on hand. Definitely worth making again. And it is QUICK & EASY.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

These are seriously delicious. I followed the recipe, but used white chocolate chips instead of regular. Boiled the brown sugar/butter for exactly three minutes, as stated in the recipe, they turned out perfect. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Easy Cheesy Cream of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
I used a can of cream of broc. soup instead of the mushroom because that is what I had, and I can say this was totally fantastic. So easy and so good. I used to go pick up broccoli soup at a restaurant to bring home, but this is even better. I will definitely make this many times. LOVED it.

Egg Foo Young

Excellent! Quick little cheat tip on sauce? If you are pressed for time like I always am, buy a jar of chicken gravy. Heat it up. Mix a few teaspoons of soy sauce with it. Nobody will know the difference! :o)
