Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
I always want something sweet along with eating chicken and I didn't have anything, was out of applesauce. I found some apples that were drying up a bit in the fridge and made this recipe. I read the reviews about it being too sweet and too much water after I had put the apples on to cook. Easy remedy, I drained the water off and mashed the apples with a fork and then whisked them a little. I left out the cinnamon because I like applesauce plain. Its GOOD ENOUGH with no additives! It was wonderful, loved it! The apples were red delicious apples and I'm sure the sugar in the water sweetened them up a bit, even though it was drained before mashing. I will DEFINATELY make this again. What a wonderful way to use up apples that aren't so great to eat, but are wonderful when sauced!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Was not impressed with the flavor, too "wangy" for me. Chicken was not at all tender. Will not try this again.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
I didn't have bread flour so I used all purpose flour, perhaps thats why it came out a bit dense. Its still very edible. I reduced the sugar after reading reviewers saying how sweet it was. I liked it and will try again with bread flour.

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2013
I made these exactly what the recipe called for and they are delicious! I don't understand people changing a recipe all around(unless you don't have something and use a substitute) and then rate it! Make the original recipe, rate it.. then tweak it and make it your own recipe.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I've always got compliments on my chocolate chip cookies, wanting to know what I do different. The only thing I do different is use Crisco shortening instead of butter and I chill the dough before I bake them, putting it back in the fridge in between batches. I always have thicker cookies, I dont like the flat spread out crispy cookies the butter makes them to be.

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Man oh man these are great! I ate one with butter hot out of the oven. If your having soup and salad, dividing these into 8 pieces works. If your just going to eat soup, I'd suggest dividing it into just 6. Very very tasty, crunchy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I followed the recipe exactly.

French Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
I only had 2 packages of yeast so I reduced the flour to 5 cups of flour and I kept the salt the same because some people say it needed more salt. The bread was deliscious! Mine turned out quite dense, not airy and light at all. I still loved it, it had a crunchy crunchy crust all the way around it!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
These were great! I wish I would of stuck to the original 20 minutes instead of 25 like recommended by some reviewers, they were a tad bit over done on the bottom. Great cinnamon rolls though, I topped them off with a cream cheese icing!

Scottish Shortbread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
I thought this recipe was very bland. I always do a prototype baking and after tasting it, I added 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I also melted a few tablespoons of butter and added that because the cookies were very "floury" tasting. I'm glad I didn't waste a whole batch before I tested them. After the adjustments they were much better, but I'll look for a better shortbread recipe next time.
