Mansaka

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
This is one of my favorites. I found this a few months ago, and have made it three times now. I am making it again tonight. I use tomato paste and leave out the mushrooms. I also throw in frozen peas for a veggie. I love the cinnamon taste. If you like moussake, or other dishes that have that type of spice, or cardamon, you will probably like this. If you are a salt and pepper person, you might want to pass. I think it is worth trying once though. I also try and use a stronger cheese if I have it. Store brand swiss can be bland.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2001
My boyfriend was really impressed with this. The sauce was awesome. And it was really simple(except I forgot the toothpicks, but it worked out.) I'm making this again soon, it is definately a good recipe.

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2000
I've been making this dip for seven years now, and people really like it. I prefer to use miracle whip in general, so I rarely buy mayo, but it is worth it for this. You can use miracle whip or light mayo if you have it, people will still love it.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2003
I love these, the method was the most useful thing. I dipped in the egg wash and batter twice. My husband loves these. I beat the heck out of my chops first, so I only get about 3 to a large skillet. I was very happy with this. I also coat the raw plain chops with a flour salt pepper mix then the egg wash then bread crumb mixture. The flour binds with the egg to keep the breading on a bit better. I learned this from a breaded chicken recipe and it works.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2002
We really liked this. It came out great. I'm not the best cook, but this was easy. It was tender and flavorful, the best pork roast I ever had. Since there was only two of use we had leftovers, but not much, we mixed the left overs with veggies and cream of chicken soup and served over noodles as a meal. The flavor of the meat makes great leftovers, if you have them.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2002
These were great! They were so simple, but my fussy fiance loved them. If you have leftovers, just heat them up. We used them in a spaghetti sauce and that was a mistake. The pork really takes on the apple flavor.

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2002
This was GREAT. My husband raved about this to everyone he saw. My husband loves biscuits and gravy, and every attempt we have ever made was too floury. I added a dash of onion powder and garlic powder and used mild sausage. I even liked it, and I really don't care for biscuits and gravy.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Mmmm, I've never had rice pudding warm before. Yummy! It is also good cold. Loved it! I added a touch of nutmeg to the custard also.

Alfredo Blue

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2001
I thought it was a little more bland then I would have liked, but it came out very smooth. My friend loved it. It didn't reheat well. I did top it with parmesan and crumbled blue and that gave it more zing. I might have used cheap blue cheese, I got the already crumbled stuff.

A little rich for me, but a lot of people liked it. One of my first attempts at fudge, very easy.

Chicken Kabobs with Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2003
I liked that kabobs, but not the sauce. I think you can find better sauce recipes elsewhere.
