I grew up cooking for my family, and continue doing so today. I usually just cook for my husband and myself, except special occasions, when I cook for a crowd! I went to school for dietetics and took a couple of culinary classes. Now, I'm going to school for nursing.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. I currently run a VERY small catering business that offers cakes, cookies and candies. Beyond that, I love cooking just about anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
EVERYTHING homemade. And if we can get it outta the garden or out of the pasture, it's even better!
My cooking triumphs
Impressing my then-future in-laws w/ seared tuna w/ mango chutney, curried couscous and a micro-green salad w/ mango vinegarette.
My cooking tragedies
The first lemon-meringue pie I made, the meringue wept and shrank. I was so disapointed I went home and made 2 more to prove to myself I could do it!
