Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
This is excellent! I use the inexpensive can (Hunts) sauce and add two small cans of tomato paste to the sauce. I have tried pre-sliced provolone and fresh from deli and found the fresh tastes best. I am always asked to bring this to potlucks. Thanks for a great recipe.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Excellent, expecially following other suggestions with the cinnamon/sugar on the bottom of the pan. The sour cream makes it very moist. I also add the 1 cup of chocolate chips. Very tasty! We buy bananas just so they can over ripe for this!

My Country Style Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
This is made at least two times a month at our house now. The meat is so tender and it tastes great. Thank you for a wonderful quick and easy to prepare recipe.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
I made last year and am planning on this recipe this year. It is a great recipe. I did as others and added sausage, but also dried cranberries. I stirred about every hour and added broth as it cooked. The amount of broth depends on your crockpot. I have a stone one, so I came close to using all of the stated broth. A very good recipe, tastes great and changes the "traditional" folks minds

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
Made over the weekend, and this is the BEST recipe. I pre-heated a cast iron skillet in the oven until ready and baked for 23 minutes. Turned out moist and delicious, great re-heated the next day in microwave for 15 seconds. Thanks for a SUPERB recipe

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
These turned out perfect AS IS. I used my medium sccop from Pampered Chef (they also sell them at Wal-Mart, etc) and filled the mini-muffin pan. It did appear that the filling was going to be too much, but they turned out perfect as I put the cups in the cookie. FREEZE the cups. They will melt more quickly if you do not. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chicken and Artichokes

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Excellent recipe. This is very tasty and easy as well. I added a tad more Sherry for flavor, but I like to cook with wines a lot. A definite rotation in our house. Thank you!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is very good AS IS! Because I am lazy, I use the chicken tenderloin pieces. They cook in less time and are tender. I add fresh minced garlic in with the butter and oil. Other than that, I don't alter this recipe at all...

Chicken with Sun-Dried Tomato and Roasted Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This is VERY good as is, I added red pepper flakes to kick it up a bit. Publix didn't have spinach fettuccine, so I just used regular. This also reheats very well. Thank you for a great recipe!

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
This is awesome! We call it Vodoo meat, and it serves up well with fajitas, tacos or our favorite: Nachos. Cooked as directed, wouldn't change a thing!

Portuguese Pork with Red Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This actually turned out quite nice. I didn't have a pestle/mortar so just threw ingredients in a food chopper. I didn't press the meat either and it still turned out tender and flavorful. Near the end, I added a mix of cornstarch and water to thicken the sauce and served alongside mashed potatoes. Based on other reviews, I added a splash of balsamic vinegar and some lemon juice at the end. Enjoy with the rest of the wine you use in the recipe =)

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Perfect! I followed the crock pot suggestion for the chicken and it turned out amazing! Since it makes a lot, I took it into work (cut the enchiladas in thirds prior to serving) and it was gone in less than 10 minutes! I like my food a bit spicy, so I added crushed red pepper flakes for a kick.

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
I've been making these for a couple of years now. Following others advice, I used the frozen small meatballs (Sam's club sells them in 2 # packages). I brown the meatballs according to package directions in the oven, put in crock pot, then add the sauce ingredients in the crock pot with meatballs. I serve these at parties and I have repeat requests for them.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Fantastic! My search for Hawaiin Salt was difficult but worth it; I initally thought everyone complaining about the salt-content were wimps, but they're not. It IS salty, and I would reccomend using only 1/2 to 3/4 of the amount suggested. I used a pork picnic b/c the store didn't have a butt. Cooked on high for the first 4 hours (started at 7AM) and then to low for the remainder of the day. It was perfect by 7 PM. I have an oval crockpot, I think it's the stone-ware one. Fabulous with Hawaiian rolls!

Onion Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Very tasty alternative to sweet potatoes. I did pull them out of the oven at 30-minutes and kept picking at them while the rest of the meal cooked. I had to force myself to leave some for dinner :). Thank you for a great recipe!
