Corn Dogs

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
First time making homemade and these are it! I dried and rolled the dogs in flour first to make the batter stick better as reviewers suggested. Worked perfectly. These are super quick and easy to pull together and would be great as minis in kids' lunches as well.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
No words to describe the yummy goodness going on in my mouth as I eat it at this very moment. I could DRINK the dressing by itself. Only change was I used the crunchy chow mein noodles instead of frying up rice nooodles.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
I ALWAYS read the reviews before I try a recipe, and for whatever reason I didn't with this one. Boy, I wish I had. Only change I made was adding fresh mushrooms instead of canned. All I can taste is mayo. Mayo, mayo, mayo...I added a TON more sour cream, salt, etc, but still can taste the mayo a lot. It's edible and it will get eaten just so we don't waste $, but I will never make it again.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
I don't like bell peppers, but my hubby has been asking me to make these for years so I did it for him. Although I didn't like the peppers, I loved the filling! I didn't measure the cheese (cause really, who does that?!?! lol) and next time I will try it with red/orange/or yellow peppers instead.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
I loved the texture of these. Chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, just like the recipe says. However, I like more tartness in my lemon recipes, so next time I'll add more lemon to it. I did zest 1 lemon but that wasn't enough. Everyone loved them tho, and one friend even said they were the best she's ever had!

Three-Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this recipe. Took it camping this last week and every single person raved about it. Couple things, I used red potatoes, chopped, and I completely forgot the onions at home, so didn't add them. But it was totally delicious even without them. Can't wait to make these again!

Hubby didn't care for them. Friend says 'they need cheese!' They were alright. Probably won't make again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
TO. DIE. FOR. This was said by everyone at the party :0) I changed it just a bit. I used 2 chicken breasts boiled in chicken broth, shredded them, and mixed it all together in a pan and baked till bubbly.

Chili Cheese Dip III

Good flavor, but I prefer this dip all mixed together instead of layered. Used Stagg Chili per a bunch of reviews.

Flat Iron Steak with Three Pepper Rub

Wow, this is a fantastic rub! I didn't have chipotle chili powder so I just used another teaspoon of regular but it was still out of this world. This will definately be something I use over and over again.

Deep-Fried Turkey Marinade

It was our first time deep frying a turkey and this was a big hit. Everyone raved about it and said how moist and tasty it was. We had a 14lb bird and there was plenty of rub. Will definately use again.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Really good flavor, but it did get runny when in the crockpot, even tho I put a towel over it to catch the condensation. I will try again but without putting it in the crock.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
This is the 2nd time I've made this recipe and it turned out really, really good this time. I did something different and took some other reviewers suggestions and added a box of vanilla instant pudding. That made it. The first time I didn't think it was like it at all, but the pudding made a huge difference. I baked it at a lower temp, 350, for 20 mins b/c the last time they got too crispy on top at 400 and dried out. Only reason I rated it a 4 was b/c of the changes.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Fantastic! I had to modify a bit tho. I didn't have Italian Seasoning so I eyeballed some dried oregano and basil then finely chopped up fresh rosemary from my garden. I also wanted it to be a round loaf for dinner, so I made the dough in the bread machine, shaped into a round, let rise, then before putting in the over (350) I brushed it with olive oil and sprinkled kosher salt over it. It took about 30 mins to bake. Everyone in my house loved it, especially with the Pasta Fagioli we had next to it ;0)
