Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Wonderful. I added cranberries just because i love the 2 together! My batch made more than 12 muffins though. I had enough leftover to make 3 full mini loaves of pumpkin bread. And I made Large size muffins and the mini loaves were bursting over.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
This turned out very good. I always adjust recipes to my liking. A french Chef once taught me to use ketchup in soups etc for a deeper taste. I like to add about a tablespoon to my soups, really adds to the flavor. I used a bag of frozen veg mix. & evtras wide egg noodles. Even better the 2nd day.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
This is a very tastey apple pie! I used Gala & Honey Crisp apples, 4 & 4. And a 9 inch, deep dish pie pan. Pleanty of apples. The method is easy for those who have never made a pie like this before. And I baked mine the full 45 minutes. Also tossed mine with cinnamon as suggested. Will make again!

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
Good pie crust but it does as mentioned by other make a lot. I used the butter flavored shortening. Made a 9 inch, deep dish apple pie w/a lattice top and had enough dough left over for at leastthe bottom of another pie. Will use again though. Flakey & light.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
The key is to use the chicken broth. Without it its pretty bland. I also used about 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, my mexican brother in law always uses this in hs rice and it adds a richer flavor. Very easy recipe and tasty!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
I love this recipe but am on weight watchers so I dont add the sour cream into the mix. I use very lean beef and add canned tomatoes w/mexican style herbs, canned black beans, corn, salsa, enchilada sauce, diced & canned green chilies. Let the beef and tomato mixure simmer for about 15 min. Use corn tortillas. Layer everything and top with light cheddar. Add light our cream at the end : )

First time making this and my family LOVES it!! I brushed mine with butter during the last 10 mintues and sprinkled with oats. I added less salt as suggested be others but next time I think I'll add the 1 tbls as in the recipe. Made 2 large loaves and 4 knot rolls. Me and my husband ate all the rolls when they came out of the oven, wonderful flavor!!

Very easy & has a good chew/bite to it. I cranked up the oven when I preheated it to 475 degrees, then lowered it to bake the pizza.

Beautiful! Brought this to my sisters for a family dinner and the entire pan was empty before I knew it. I used an Italian seasonning pack, the kind used for salad dressings. Sprinkled some in the dough and on top before baking. A keeper recipe!

French Bread

This is a great recipe that can be used with bread flour or whole wheat flour. I use a pan of water on the bottom rack to add steam while baking the bread. Gives an awesome hard crust : )

I had a heck of a time with this cake >: / It stuck to the pans really bad! I used a non stick pan, pans I've always used and had sprayed. Not sure what the problem was? So just a warning to others. And I did follow the recipe to a T! Taste was great Not too eggy.
