Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
The flavor in this dish is simply amazing and the chickpeas offerred a nice bit of crunch. It makes for a wonderful side dish, or for a full meal. My one recomendation for this recipe, would be to not serve this over rice. The potatoes are starchy enough, and on top of rice is kind of overkill.

Monkey Bread V

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2006
I'd never made/had monkey bread before, but as my first attempt, this recipe was extrememly easy to follow and make. I had fun cutting up the biscuits and rolling them in the cinnasugar and watching it take shape as it rose in the bundt. And the final results...delicious! Each piece of the bread is coated with cinnamon and sugar and gooey icing that you can just pull apart and eat for desert or for a breakfast treat. Everyone love, love, loved this. The only change I made to the recipe is a sprinkled the bottom of my bundt pan with pecans before I began layering.

Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
Delicious soup and easy to make. I fried some flour tortilla strips (instead of corn) in a little olive oil and in lue of jalepeno peppers, I just used cayenne.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
This was a wonderful recipe. The muffins were moist and full of the banana flavor you'd expect from a "banana" muffin. The only extra thing I did was sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on them before they baked up.

Crawfish Etouffee Like Maw-Maw Used to Make

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I was positively sick of tomato based etouffee when I stumbled upon this excellent recipe. It had a nice flavor to it which wasn't overbearing at all. The ingredients were simple and the instructions easy to follow. I, like many others, added much much more hot sauce and cayenne to suit my tastes. Will definitely make again for sure.

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
This dish was simple to make and very flavorful (impossible to ruin). I made mine on a George Foreman grill and served it with some steamed veggies for the perfect easy dinner meal.

Oven-Roasted Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
I love a good sweet potato dish, and this one was what I would call spectacular! Its both sweet and well seasoned so you get that french fry taste with a touch of sweetness. My one recomendation is that you watch these while they cook because they can easily burn, but as others have said, even the slightly burned ones still had a good taste.

Pork and Shrimp Pancit

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
I made a few modifications to this recipe in that I used only chicken and I used angel hair pasta, but it still turned out very well. I'd never had bok choy before, and found it to be surprisingly good along with the rest of the dish.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
Hands down, this is the ultimate turkey burger! I've now made this recipe about a million times. For an even spicier version, I sometimes use diced habanero peppers (warning: HOT!) and omit the soy sauce in favor of more worchestire. Also if you'd like to freeze these patties, simply go to your grocer and pick up some freezer paper, and they last quite a while and are great for an easy quick supper.
