Canned Apple Pie Filling

I made this recipe after reading other reviews on it. I doubled the amount of cinnamon and used 7 cups of apple juice + 3 cups of water. The first time I made it I used the amount of cornstartch called for. It was a little thinner than what I would have liked. I made it again using 1 1/2 cups Clear Jel starch instead of the cornstarch. It was great. I then made it two more times and gave it out for Christmas gifts. Everyone really liked it!

Cinnamon Rolls II

I have been using the same recipe for my cinnamon rolls for years. I thought I'd try a new recipe and this one sounded good. I followed the recipe exactly as written. The flavor was good, but they came out a little heavier than I would have liked. If I make them again I will allow the dough to rise once before rolling it out and then let it rise a second time before baking. I will also roll the dough out to a larger demension, I thought the layers were a little too thick.

Chocolate Cookie Cheesecake

I am not sure where I went wrong. I think maybe I under baked it. I baked it until the center was set, with a very very slight jiggle to it. It looked beautiful, but when I cut into it the center was very soft. The flavor was great just much softer than I would have liked. I prefer my cheesecake to be firm. I may try this one more time and bake it for a little longer. I follwed the recipe as written other than I baked it in a water bath.

I made one slight change. I used inverted sugar for half of the granulated sugar; otherwise, I did everything accordingly to the recipe. It is very good. the texture and the consistancy both came great.My husband said, "it is too good to have in the house." It doesn't have a traditional caramel flavor, more of a butterscotch.

Classic Rice Pilaf

Very good. I made this on Christmas Eve to go along with some shrimp scampi. I used Jasmine rice. The time stated for cooking was perfect. Everyone loved it.
