About this Cook
Male, HAPPILY divorced for 31 Years! Love to cook-Hate to clean it up!(but I always do!)
My favorite things to cook
Love to try to make recipes from the internet. Things I've never made before. Like to try difficult,gourmet-type dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Where I grew up, in the mountains we were so poor we couldn't afford a tradition! I have tried to duplicate some of the things that both of my country Grandmothers made, but have been unable to do it. They had ALL their recipes in their heads. They probably FORGOT more than I'LL ever know!
My cooking triumphs
It's weird, but it seems that the first time I make something it almost always is better that first time!
My cooking tragedies
Believe me-1000 characters IS NOT enough! Remember-I've been divorced for over 30 years!

I've made this a couple times! Turned out really wonderful both times! Very tender and very juicy!

Eric's Best New York Style Cheesecake
This is by far the best cheesecake recipe I've ever made! I follow the directions to the T, and it always comes out great! Everyone just raves about this cheesecake every time I make it! It takes a while-but it's worth it!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs
Due to some recent dental work I've been forced to eat somewhat soft foods. When I saw this recipe it sounded like it would be really tender. I followed your recipe exactly. Cooked it for 7 hrs. Very tender, and one of the best rib flavors I've ever had! Great recipe! And really easy!
