About this Cook
I'm a teenager living in Singapore. I'm still attending high school. I'm really interested in cooking. But more specifically, I'm into baking. However, I'm still very much a novic when it comes to the kitchen. There's still a lot for me to experiment with and learn from.
My favorite things to cook
Since I'm into baking, I love baking chocolate chips cookies amongst many other cookies. I've tried scones before and will be trying to do cakes next. Wish me luck!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Basically, my dad doesn't cook much while my mom's the housewife. My grandparents are great cooks. I espeically love the longevity noodles my grandpa used to cook. Chinese New Year is a huge deal within my family and relatives. It's almost like Christmas because we'd bake pineapple tarts, kueh lapis and stuff. On the 15th (last) day of CNY, we'd prepare homemade dumplings.

Dark Chocolate Cake I
A real chocolatey and dense cake. I made them into muffins and yielded about 20. I added a vanilla frosting to the cake. But it tastes just as well plain. This is a delightfully easy recipe to follow.

Chocolate Crinkles II
This cookies are simply awesome! My mum's friends couldn't stop praising them! On a side note: Be sure to refrigerate the dough for 45 min. Then use a spoon to scoop the dough into a bowl of confectioners' sugar. Once it's in the sugar, it's easier to roll them into balls. Otherwise, I followed this delightful recipe to a T. Overall, a wonderfully chocolatey cookie that has a beautiful presentation.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes
It's simply a divine cupcake! I used chunky peanut butter and half butter, half olive oil. I feel that the recipe needs more peanut butter as the taste was rather subtle. On the other hand, I would reduce the amount of milk to maybe just slightly over 1 cup as the taste was a little strong. But the milk flavour gave the cupcakes a really nice dimension in terms of taste. All in all, a recipe that I would make again and again! In fact, I'm giving my former tuition teachers these delights for Christmas this year!
