Tiny Pecan Tarts

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
I made these for a friend who was requesting pecan tarts although I used muffin pans because I didn't have tart pans. That was the only change I made to the recipe. They were a little time consuming but worth it. The recipe made 18 muffins and there wasn't a problem with having too much filling and not enough dough. It turned out about right. They had a nice crunchy top with a gooey inside. Very good!

Bacon Wrapped Bratwurst

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
I am usually not a fan of brats but these were so good! Someone made them for a potluck at work and I will be making these myself soon! The sweetness of the brown sugar was just right.

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I made this as written and then I read the reviews which said to add seasonings so I sprinkled some garlic powder to the top right after I put it in the oven. After it was done it still needed a lot of seasonings to make it flavorful. I don't think I will be making this again. I was disappointed because my husband loves alfredo sauce much more than tomato sauce. So be sure to add Italian seasoning and lots of garlic powder if you are going to make this.

Corn Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
I have been making the recipe for a few years now. My husband's family loves it and always requests that I bring it to family dinners. Pretty much the only thing I change is that I add a couple of tablespoons of sugar. I also drain the whole kernel corn. Very yummy when right out of the oven!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
This was absolutely fabulous! I made it for a dinner party and everyone loved it. My husband ate seconds and thirds and raved about it. He has never done that with a salad before. The dressing makes quite a bit and so I had to add extra spinach with it and next time I will probably add even more spinach or just not put in all of the dressing. Overall it was a relatively easy salad to prepare. I also made up the dressing the night before to save time before the party began. Very good recipe!

Skillet Apple Brownie

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
These were pretty good. I made them exactly as written except that I don't have a cast iron skillet so I just used an 8x8 baking dish.

Pumpkin French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
This was pretty good. I ended up just mixing everything together with an electric mixer so it looked like mush before I baked it. I also added a little bit of cream because I was afraid it was going to be too dry. It turned out pretty good. My husband was tooleery to try it but me and my son liked it. Pretty yummy with butter and syrup on it.

Little Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
These were very good! I didn't quite put a whole cup of brown sugar in because my husband doesn't like sweet BBQ sauce. Very good! This also makes a lot of sauce and I put in 3 packages of the little smokies.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
This is so good and so easy to make! I haven't made one of these in years and it tasted just like I remember. I did add a teaspoon of vanilla like another reviewer suggested. This will satisfy your sweet tooth especially with a little of ice cream thrown in. Thanks for the recipe!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

These were really good. The only thing I will change next time is to use less butter. Other than that, these were a hit!

Ham and Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
I made this for my husband and myself. My husband couldn't eat it at all. I was able to eat it but didn't find it to be as good as I have had before. I think it might have been the brown sugar and I only put in 1/4 cup. Next time I won't put in any brown sugar.

Mini Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
These were pretty tasty but I think I would have liked more of a pumpkin/ cinnamon flavor. It was also hard to gauge how much icing should go on each one because I ended up having a lot of icing left over.

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
I made these for a BUNKO party and everyone loved them! They were a hit. They might be a little time consuming to make but so easy. I used one jar of baby dill pickles, a package each of turkey and ham Buddig (sp?) lunch meat and not quite one 8 oz block of cream cheese that was softened. These are great for the pickle lovers!

Kentucky Biscuits

They tasted fine but they didn't raise much at all. I cooked them longer hoping they would rise which they didn't. Maybe I did something wrong with the kneading.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
This is a really good pasta salad. Tastes just like the box kind. I didn't have any garlic pepper and I don't like olives so I didn't put those in. Very good and I will be making this one again instead of buying the box kind from the store.

Chocolate Crinkles II

These were really yummy! I made mine really small so I did have about 70. They are bite size that way. Just like little bite size brownies. I would make these again.

Skillet Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
I messed a little bit and added the whole can of tomato soup into the meat mixture. Because of that it was hard to keep the meat into loaves while I was cooking them in the skillet. But the taste was still really good. The only thing I will do differently next time will be to double the sauce. Since I had already used the tomato soup, I substituted ketchup. The sauce was very good! I will be making this again. It was nice to have meatloaf but not have to wait an hour to have it.
