About this Cook
I love to explore new foods and learn new things to cook and enjoy. I love to cook for other people - if it's just me a TV dinner is fine.
My favorite things to cook
Homemade breads, slow-cooker soups and meals, yummy yet healthy comfort foods, and more elaborate dinner parties too.
My cooking triumphs
My breads, Parmesan Pork Chops, a variety of cakes, salads, soups, and my specialty, a Thanksgiving dinner.
My cooking tragedies
Homemade biscuits. My son has not yet (and probably will never) let me forget those "hockey pucks". I do fine with other quickbreads, but I won't even attempt another homemade biscuit.

Savory Kale, Cannellini Bean, and Potato Soup
Added polish sausage with the onions. Thought it was a great, comforting, hardy, tastey soup.

Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast
This was actually quite delicious, even though I looked away from the broiler for a split second and it started to burn. I quickly took it out and since it is served inverted it was just fine. This is a very rich dish.

Mediterranean Black Olive Bread
This was delicious! I adjusted this recipe for the bread machine (needed only to add the vital wheat gluten, all other measurements were fine.) And the bread was wonderful. I will experiement with different olives next time, I used kalamata this time.
