About this Cook
I'm a wife to an awesome man, and stay at home mom to 4 beautiful kids. I homeschool our kids, so I'm able to incorporate home-ec into our school week. My 9 yr old and 7 yr old twins love to pick out recipes off AR for our home-ec classes. I must say, they've become quite the little chefs! I was taught to cook by a wonderful friend of mine. I think she felt sorry for my husband:) I must say, cooking is one of my favorite things to do. There's nothing like sitting down to a home cooked meal, and sharing our day with each other.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that WOW's my family and friends!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting together with my mom and daughter at Christmas time, making goodies for gift trays to give to our family, friends & neighbors.
My cooking triumphs
PIE CRUSTS...I have finally managed to make a pie that looked as good as it tasted! Only took 10 years...lol!
My cooking tragedies
Making biscuits the dog wouldn't even eat! And a batch of brownies that we won't talk about!

Soft Chocolate Cookies
Excellent Cookie Recipe!! I did make a few small changes...I used sugar in the raw and unbleached flour. I made the cookies large, so I could make icecream sandwiches. My family loved them!! Thanks for sharing!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars
I made these for our homeschool party, and they were a huge hit!! I did make a few changes..For the bars: I used sugar in the raw, canola oil, unbleached flour, reduced eggs to 3, added pure vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and nutmeg. For the icing: I followed other reviews by using 8 oz pkg cream cheese and doubling the rest of the ingredients. I wil certainly be making again! Thanks for sharing!
