Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2001
My husband LOVED this! He thought I spent hours in the kitchen (hee hee). This was very easy and looks elegant. Even my two toddlers liked it. I used miracle whip instead of mayonnaise and I used slightly more feta cheese...turned out wonderful!

Luscious Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
I've made this recipe for years. One variation: add 1/2 to 3/4 cup creamy peanutbutter and just slightly (tsp or so) more milk. Wonderful! I always put peanut butter frosting on banana cake (A-Number One Banana Cake on this site).

Black Russian Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
I didn't use the vodka, or the coffee flavored liqueur...I brewed some cappucino and used that. It was VERY moist, everyone loved it. I did use the Kahlua/butter glaze that was posted earlier. That was divine. I'm going to try this with a different combination of flavors. I'm thinking white cake, white chocolate pudding, rasberry brandy instead of the coffee liqueur ... still working on a glaze :) Very good recipe, Rory!

This is now a tradition in my house. Every holiday meal, I am asked to bring it. My six year old says that it is her favorite food!

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2005
Very good! I made this for a family gathering (6 loaves) and there wasn't a speck left! The only thing I changed was I used melted *butter* instead of shortening. Very good and smells heavenly! My little boy (6) said it was the best homemade bread he's had in his *whole* life!

Very simple! Very good and a big hit with kids! I served it with vanilla wafers and ginger snaps...skipped the orange juice concentrate, didn't miss it.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2002
I made this for a dish to pass at my in-laws Thanksgiving dinner. My MIL makes Stove Top along with traditional stuffing because my husband won't touch her stuffing. I'm not too crazy about it either. Anyhow, I made this, my husband reluctantly tried it and ABSOLUTELY loved it! I thought it was pretty good, also. My six year old thought it was cool to have cranberries (Craisens) in her dressing! I made it in a 13x9 pan, baked it at 350 deg F for about 45 minutes. I also used 2 and 2/3 cups stock, it seemed to dry to me while mixing it. Turned out beautifully and it's very eye-appealing!

Excellent! Best cream cheese frosting I've had/made in years. Use a good quality vanilla, it's worth it!

Souvlaki

I make these on a regular basis. I buy pork loins on sale, cut my meat up and add the pork chunks and marinade to a freezer bag. I freeze it until I need them, works beautifully.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
I quit drinking egg nog 25 years ago when I found out my Dad made my beloved beverage with RAW eggs! I haven't had it since I was 10! This tastes exactly as I remember with the bonus of COOKED eggs. I made a batch without rum for the kids, just add 2 tbsp rum extract for the correct flavor. YUM! Thanks so much for this recipe!!

Creamy Rice Pudding

I've made this LOTS of times with instant rice and I never put raisins in it because my kids won't touch it. They love this...got to have a healthy dose of cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Rhubarb Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
Wonderful! Super quick. This pie was a nice change from Strawberry Rhubarb (I hate cooked strawberries). It was sweet and tart, very pretty. I cut out pie crust hearts and placed them over the top instead of a full crust. Very "valentiney". Make sure the pie is cool before you cut it and it doesn't run!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
This is probably the 25th time I've made these cookies. My kids barely wait for them to cool long enough to take them off the sheets. I make them a little larger and cook them longer than the recipe calls for. I always use parchment paper on ANY cookie recipe, so I never have a problem getting them off the sheet. I've had so many requests for this recipe, I've lost track. I've used milk chocolate and dark chocolate chips...butterscotch chips with cheesecake pudding...etc. Make sure you use a quality vanilla extract. Wonderful and never last around here. I've made so many different chocolate chip cookie recipes...I'm thrilled that I found this one!

I have been making this cake since I was about 8 years old. I grew up on this and to this day, this is the ONLY chocolate cake anyone in my family will eat. It's moist, it's chocolatey, it's easy.
