Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
loved this just the way it is. the only thing I did was add 1/2 bag of frozen peas, but I think it would have been fine without it. thanks for sharing!!

Fried Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
I feel horrible rating this so low, but we were really disappointed in this recipe. I couldn't even finish my serving! I did follow others advice & boil the sweet potatoes for 10 minutes, but I think it was the brown sugar/butter combo that we were not a fan of. first of all, like someone else said, if you want fried sweet potatoes - this IS NOT the recipe to use! second, these were WAY too sugary & carmelized. we were scraping off the brown sugar coating & adding salt but it still didn't help. AND to top it all off they are a MESS! will not be making this recipe again. sorry.

Mexican Beef Supreme

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
I was looking for a recipe using stew meat and found this one. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with how good this was!! I didn't change a thing regarding the ingredients; I did let the meat & cilantro mixture simmer for 20+ minutes. Served with rice in tortilla shells. It was delicious! Will definitely make again. I have to comment on a couple reviews - someone said 1/2 cup lime juice was too much. it's not 1/2 cup, it's 1/2 lime!! and I thought the amount of lime was perfect. someone else said it was too tomato-eee, although I have no idea how. there were no tomatos in it unless they are in the salsa verde. thanks so much for sharing melissa!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
loved this recipe! we did as others did - layered the ziti, then the sauce so it saturated the ziti. but other than that, followed the recipe to a T. thanks for sharing!! will definitely make again!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
we LOVED this recipe. we substituted sliced almonds for the pecans as I'm not a pecan fan and still thought it was wonderful. I agree with another reviewer that it seemed to get better after a day or two. will definitely keep using this one - thanks for sharing!

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
we love this recipe & make it all the time. I love making it for new mothers - I usually get a lot of compliments. the only thing I do differently is add 1/2 tsp minced garlic & 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes to the meat/onion when cooking it. thanks for sharing!!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
we had a couple of problems with this recipe - first, it called for way too much breading (bread crumbs, parmesan cheese), so I wasted those ingredients. second, I am not sure as to what I'm supposed to do with the two gloves of garlic I browned. and third, we just thought it was too bland. my husband requested we not make this recipe again.

Bronco Burger

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
These burgers were incedible. We halved the recipe but still used an entire egg and they turned out perfectly. I honestly can't think of one thing I would've changed. I think these might be the best burgers I've ever had and that's saying a lot. The Fritos were a great addition, you coudl just taste a hint of them in the background. Because I love Tabasco, my girlfriend added a little extra. They were still mild enough that she could eat them easily. GREAT RECIPE!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
I made this for our local Lion's Club soup supper. I had never made a pie before and people were astounded how good it was. I'm from Kansas, so sweet potato pie isn't too popular here - everyone thought it was pumpkin pie which was good and bad at the same time. I was hoping for a bit more of a distinctive flavor but i don't think that's what sweet potato pie is all about.

Lime Garlic Chicken

It's good and easy to make. I don't really have any suggestions on how to improve upon it. It's not really an Oooh-ahher for me, but it's tasty and i'll make it again.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
This chili takes a looooong time to make (at least it did for me but i'm a slow cook) but it was worth it. Don't try to do this recipe in a dutch oven - not quite big enough, but everybody that tried it and could stand some heat liked it...even for breakfast! It was a too hot for my girlfriend. I think this is probably a little too hot for the average chili eater, but for ones who don't mind heat, it's perfect!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
After all the accolades I read about on this recipe, i had to try it. We had very high-quality salmon that we had caught and i was worried that the marinade would cover up the natural flavor of the salmon, but it didn't. I marinated it for 10 hours and put it in a fish basket which i would definitely recommend to keep it from falling apart. Everybody raved about it. I liked it because it was so simple. Thanks!
