Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
I tripled the sauce so I would have some left over for a marinade. I used a mix of brown and white sugar, using more brown than white. !/4 cup less soy sauce, 1/2 tsp. chili sauce for heat and I used boneless skinless thighs. I also added extra crushed garlic. Basting every 10 min seemed like a pain and a heat waster so instead I just poured the sauce on the chicken. I coated it well and just turned a couple of times during cooking. It cooked in less time due to no bones and no loss of heat from the oven. The chicken was tender and moist. I served over jasmine rice, poured some additional sauce from the pan, and topped with chopped cilantro. The unused sauce that I didn't put in the oven I put in the fridge to use as a marinade for pork later in the week. My family loved it and so did I!! This has already been requested again and for birthday dinners as well. Thank you for submitting this recipe!!

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
I made my own pizza dough from a favorite recipe. I added to the BBQ sauce some brown sugar, spicy mustard, garlic powder, salt and some pepper. I used a lot more BBQ sauce and cheese so the inside would not be so dry. After removing from the oven I brushed them with garlic butter and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. I didn't have cilantro so I left it out, I believe it would add to the flavor but still excellent with out. Great recipe with the additions my kids and husband loved them. This would even be delish as a pizza and would be much less work.
