I am 32 years old and live in the beautiful pacific northwest. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys that love to eat and enjoy my homemade meals. It is a match made in heaven! In addition to cooking, I love to read (I just joined a new service called Paperspine.com (like a netflix for books where I can rent a variety of cookbooks plus fiction faves), run, go out to eat, shop, see movies and be with friends.
My favorite things to cook
I have a sweet tooth so I love the recipes for sweets - especially anything with chocolate. I also love traditional American fare as well as other cuisines such as Italian, Greek and Chinese.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my kids! My mom cooked with me when I was a child and I loved it! Some of my best memories with my mom were in the kitchen and I want to make sure to create those memories with my boys.

Pumpkin Crisp
Oh my gosh, this is SO good! My six year old that is super picky and would normally never touch pumpkin pie loves it! I wanted to test it out before making it for Thanksgiving. I can't wait for my family to try it. I am no fan of pumpkin pie at all, but this this is amazing!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
SOOOOOO GOOD!!! I love chocolate chip cookies and this was one of the best recipes I ever made. I did make two minor modifications - I used softened butter, instead of melted and added 1/4 tsp. of baking powder. YUM!
